She thinks that every time you are wrong you are not trying and fails to realize that YOU the student should be learning. She assumes you get everything on the first try and get more impatient by the moment. If you want a good grade and teacher, do not take.

She is a terrible teacher. She gets an attitude when you ask a question or dont understand. Never clear and has her own way for teaching. Its her way or wrong. Almost the whole class dropped her class. Not worth the bad grade. the only positive from her is that she may give a point or two if you visit her for office hours.

Professor Downing is an amazing lady, if you get on her good side she will be more than glad to help you with anything. But in class she is very unclear with her explanations and she does problems kind of weird. but if you pay attention and do the work you will do fine.

This is the worst professor in QU. She doesnt write things on the board if you have questions, and her tests and quizzes are IMPOSSIBLE. theres no partial credit and no calculator use allowed in class. DO NOT TAKE HER

The beginning of the year started out hard because of the fast pace and quizzes every Friday. Once I got the hang of it and actually studied and went to the learning center I ended up doing very well!! She is helpful and available at office hours. Be prepared to put in a lot of work, but if you do you'll do fine.

she's really a great teacher. gives a lot of optional work, but if you do it you will do very well in the class & if not, you will probably fail. weekly friday quizzes,only 4-8 questions usually. i would definitely take her again if i had the opportunity

Very nice lady. If you have any intelligence at all in math you will get a good grade. She is always available to help outside of class and in class but you have to ask questions. Tests are decent, drops lowest one. Quiz every friday and drops lowest 3.

Hands down the worst professor I have ever come across. She puts problems on the board and without explaining how to do them just solves them as quick as she can. Constantly battling students during class because no one understands. Avoid this teacher at all costs, trust me. I switched out into a much better professor.

She doesn't teach. She goes way to fast, zipping through the problems before you've even had a chance to write it on your paper. Then when everyone gets it wrong, she proclaims that it's just 'careless errors, careless errors.' No, it's not. She's not teaching, therefore, we aren't learning. I ended up withdrawing from the class.

DON'T MAKE THIS SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!!! I went into this class not knowing all the material and ended up failing the first 3 quiz's and struggling through the course. She isn't clear with what shes saying at all and i can't keep up with how fast she goes through everything! Best of wishes if you think you can handle it.

I took both courses with her. She does want you to understand the material and can get frustrated but once you get to know her as a person it totall changes. She will take time to explain the info. to you if needed. Recommended if you want a good prof. who knows what shes doing and will actually teach you.
