Gorgie was very nice when I had her for beginner's reading class. But on the intermediate class, she can be a bit of a bitter, overall, easy to pass by following her method.

Shes so nice i always enjoy being in her class like she explains everything well i enjoyed the book (They Poured) shes a sweetheart she also has a sense of humor i like that also shes compassionate and well though her tests are hard shes a all around great professor

I took her in fall 2010, she is a really great teacher and is the sweetest woman teacher who I've come upon. She is very clear on her assignments, class is not hard at all, All you have to do is the work an u get an A and study read. I recommend her. She was not there the whole semester when I took her but in the two months i had her great teacher.

Mrs.Gorgie is one of the most sweetest person I've ever met. I loved her class and I enjoyed reading the book she assigned(They Poured). Very specific when it comes to homework. Tests,quizzes, mid term and final are easy. Lab work and attendance are require.She doesn't like people coming in late! She uses ecompanion-very convenient!

great teacher. make sure you get to class on time she gives quizzes every week, well i had her fridays only and every friday we will have 2 quizzes ill miss out in the beggining because i was always late so i failled a couple of quizzes but i tried my best to pass! i enjoyed reading the book!

EXCELLENT teacher! You learn alot- morons who who complain about its not a "speach" class show how stupid they are- you have to talk to show you are learning and awre and awke- only an idiot talks bad about her class- you learn SO much and are way better prepared for work/uc

grades how you'd be graded if u went to a UC. leaves helpful comments & always at the office to help. I never worked so hard on english or IMPROVED so much on english! If u want to learn take this class, i also liked the readings we were assigned. she's nice, and doesnt play fav's, not biased , thats why i liked her too.

She's a very tough grader, but she really wants you to be a better writer. Her class will probably be hard for the average non-english major but hopefully after writing 5 essays and putting in all that you've got you'll be a better writer. She writes a lot of comments, so you should read them thoroughly. I felt like I improved when I got to Eng 2.

Anyone with a bad word to say about Professor Gorgie is either an idiot or doesnt try...at all. This teacher WILL make you a better writer. If you are lookin to skim through a class, this isn't for you; but if you are looking for a great teacher ... you found her. Make sure you sit where you can look her in the eye ... VERY IMPORTANT.

If you are in school to learn then the fact that she is tough shouldn't bother you. The thing that makes her a hard professor is that she has high expectations. Use her generous office hours! She is much more helpful than the tutoring/english lab. The classes are interesting and you will surely be prepared for future classes and writing!
