Horrid woman. Hers was the first class I ever had at BU and it made me want to transfer out of the English program. NOT friendly, NOT approachable-- I introduced myself at the end of the first class and she could not have been more disinterested and rude. She plays favorites and if you don't make that list, you're screwed. Avoid her if you can!

Take this class!!! she's an amazing teacher very intelligent, very interesting! It may take some time to get used to her but once you do you'll see that she has so many qualities. If you don't like the stuff assigned, you'll end up liking them. She's witty, fun, not to mention the accent!

Clearly a very intelligent woman, and a good professor, but kind of a downer. She seems to take pleasure in depressing her students-- every piece of writing turns into "GOD IS DEAD AND YOU'RE NEXT". But she knows her literature, is a reasonable grader, and her classes are interesting. Worth taking for the strong of heart.

Jean is an amazing teacher who really got me excited about the literature. She's tough on grading (little errors cause big deductions), but not unfairly so. Her expectations are clear. The first woman I've ever been sexually attracted to, and she's in her sixties (maybe it's the accent). 10 points

it was my first english class at bu, and i was disappointed because she blatantly picked favorites. she's smart but she can be pompous if she doesn't like you. get on her good side by sucking up. i went to office hours and boosted my grade on my next paper a whole letter.

This woman is golden. She not only improves your writing but is with you every step of the way. She's caring and quite humourous, very well-read, and knowledgeable. This was the one class I was disheartened to leave at the end of the semester.

Prof. Wilson is great, very helpful. Proofreading is necessary on papers, but she'll read as many drafts as you feel like giving her. You'll learn a lot of literary vocabulary (for your own edification, not tested). She's funny in a British sort of way. I liked the class a lot.

I took her class on Death in early modern Engalnd and it simply rocked. She showed slides of tombs and monuments from all over England and helped to show the connection between literature and popular attitudes towards death in the period. Great class, great prof, really interesting.

Wilson's very passionate about what she teaches. She's extremely willing to help during her office hours, and is a sweet lady. Study for those quizzes, though, and ALWAYS ALWAYS proofread. Good luck!
