Comment:
She really tries hard to make concepts as accessible as possible, and lectures are very well structured. Taking stats (eg. BIOL300) before taking this course will make it much easier.

Comment:
Jeannette's lectures were done very well. Their lecture slides were clear and simple. They also used a few metaphors throughout the course that were clever and made the material easier to understand. Exams are based off of the slides from class.

Jeannette is smart--really smart-- very witty, passionate, and committed. She has a very dry sense of humor that I think is underappreciated.

She is really smart, funny and deeply passionate about the subject. The course material is thoughtfully structured with the hope that the key ideas and concepts are communicated clearly and as concisely as can be hoped for in biology.

a bad instructor, she pass through the knowledge from her notes to our notes, without going through her mind. She encourages note-taking rather than active thinking and learning during class. she does not post her slides so you have to write and write and write during class. very cold person, no emotions, you would know if you go to her office hour

Comment:
She cannot complete a single sentence without stuttering at least once. I was more focused in putting her words into a single sentence than actually understanding the material. She either does not know what she's talking about or she has some form of speech anxiety. Whatever the reason, she was not an effective professor.

Worst lecturer I have ever had. She is incapable of conveying the material effectively. I'm not even sure if she understands what she is talking about.

she is not a good prof. keeps stating the things she is not required to do such as posting lecture notes. seems too busy with her life to put more effort into teaching. very dry lectures.

What an unfortunate combination of attributes possessed by one person. She is affable, sweet, extremely intelligent...yet she can't lecture at all. She rambles for an 1.5 hours, is constantly disorganized, DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL SHE LECTURES ON. Stick with the text book as it is concise and easily understood.

She doesn't seem to know what she is talking about and can't even do simple math. Also is very disorganized and can't post notes on time. Gives assignments for tutorial with little time to do them. Doesn't help that this class is already boring, but she doesn't make it any better.

Comment:
She seems nice, but she's really disorganized and made the course really boring. The amount of time she wasted on trying to get PRS working was ridiculous. And her paper chromosome exercise is anything but helpful. Too much emphasis was put on ecology.

Lots of group work, and a term paper. Courseload is manageable (except for group stuff which is always a chore handing in on time). She's smart, knows her stuff, and is actually very witty once she gets going.

Her 210 class are not bad. 415 tho is crazy, I don't understand what she is talking about half the time, and asking her questions make it more unclear. But I ended up with a B so i cant complain.
