I took this professor's online class and it was great. At first, I didn't by the book and I just went off the powerpoints, but I recommend renting the book. There were two assignments and one extra credit opportunity. There are exams every Wednesday, which are 40 questions each and timed. On the weeks you have assignments you don't have an exam.

Her entire class is based off only exams except two smaller assignments. She has no lectures it's just reading three chapters and take the online exam. You better remember everything you read because you get 1 minute to read and answer the exam questions. There usually around 45 questios. Horrible teaching skills. She is uncaring! Don't take her.

Engaging and caring professor, uses anecdotes from her own experiences to enhance lectures. 4 exams total and the lowest gets dropped. Easy extra credit opportunities & every couples weeks or so she gives notice ahead of time for points days that documents attendance for participation. She only tests what she lectures about but read the book

Comment:

Prof. Edman is a great professor and person. Lectures are very good, easy to understand and compelling. Read the book for the test. Drop the lowest test and lots of extra credit (as participation points). Her class is very easy because of the way she structure it, no homework. Take her if you want a high grade and an understanding of psychology.

Professor Edman is a really sweet professor. Her lectures arent too boring, and she really wants her students to pass. I took PSYC300, so the class was super full; therefore, she isnt able to get close to each and every student, but shes a great professor to talk to and learn from. Her general psych class was overall enjoyable.

Took her class TWICE and didn't pass higher than a D. The Exams were difficult to pass and was the majority of your grade. Take a different professor if you can or take Edman on campus, but NOT online.

She gives really good examples for you to remember things. 4 exams total, but she drops the lowest exam. If you get an A on all 3, you dont have to take the final. She sometimes takes roll, and it counts toward participation points, if you go on extra credit days it really helps your grade. Science is not my subject, but i still did really well.

You are graded only on tests and if you get A's on the first 3 you get out of the final. If you go to class and take notes you will pass the class no problem. The tests are only on the lecture and its a very easy class. The professor is super chill and nice.

She's incredibly passionate, and lectures are lively and mostly engaging. Try to attend every class, she does grade participation. She gives four exams total with 3-4 extra credit questions, and drops your lowest. (Try to pass the first three so you can skip the final!) If you don't read or study for the class, expect to fail miserably.

she's a really nice person but her lectures feel like they go on forever! only 4 exams including the final and she drops the lowest score. Mostly every Wednesday is a participation day and they count for points so make sure to attend on those days. No homework, just to read the book because exams go off the book more than her lectures

Pretty straightforward class. watch vids/answer questions. Her exams were soo UNFAIR. only 20 mins for 20 questions and she asks the questions weird and some don't make sense pertaining to the text book. Probably does this to prevent cheating but there is not enough time to make sense of the questions the way she asks them. Difficult to get an A.

Wording on exams are very confusing dont always make sense. The Final was the hardest-wording not from the book. Very hard to follow this class-advice take from another instructor who is more willing to help and ezams are clear.

Professor Edman was so energetic and came to class with a smile on her face ready to teach or basically READ from the lecture. Exams are multiple choice but be prepared to READ and UNDERSTAND the DEFINITIONS and important information about the subject. Suggest NOTECARDS & STUDY!! Professor is nice, sweet, funny and loves her job! No papers! Instead you read the textbook, go to class and take lecture notes then read the textbook again. She'll give 3-4 big exams and a final, if you do good on the exams you don't have to take the final. So study. I didn't have to take the final but I took it anyway, I went from a C to a B!

Comment:

You just need 3 A's out of the 4 tests that she gives but you have to read the textbook to get A's. Very laid back, helpful, and understanding, not a pushover. Gives a study guide on topics that are on the test. Definitely have to know the material to get an A but its average difficulty. Will drop you if skip 4+ lectures. I highly recommend her.

Edman's course is never boring. 4 Exams including the final, lowest one is dropped. I studied very hard and got A's for the first three exams therefore, I didn't have to take the final. Study guides are given for each exam, STUDY & UNDERSTAND them! I cannot stress that enough! If you don't, lectures only get you about 12 the points on the exam.
