Dr. Rose is a nice lady who is very knowledgeable about English. For the first time in my life, my English teacher actually liked my writing and gave some very valuable feedback with it. She can get very irritated with attendance sometimes. But other than that, she is a solid English teacher.

Dr. Rose is a very nice lady. I just don't like her grading scale. She sets her students up for failure by making everything worth 100 points - so if you miss one assignment or do bad on one quiz, your grade goes down A LOT. I almost didn't pass.

Dr. Rose is sweet and really tries to reach out to her students. Her essay topics may seem broad and confusing but that's only because she wants you to pick a more specific aspect that you are actually interested in. And she gives back feedback on essays so you will know how to improve. I enjoyed the class.

Rose is an okay professor. She definitely knows her stuff and is willing to help when you need it. However, her lesson plans are dry and not interesting at ALL. Her papers seem pointless and at times confusing. She does try to force class discussions that only lead to awkward silences. Other than all this, it's a pretty easy class.

Dr. Rose is great. Very upbeat and positive. She wants her students to succeed and it shows. Gives very thorough, helpful feedback on papers. The class was a little heavy on reading, and some of the readings seemed pointless, but still a pretty easy A.

She's a great teacher, just the lesson plans were incredibly dry and boring somedays. She also pushes group discussions extremely hard, but she's a sweet lady and always willing to help. A relatively easy grader and gives lots of helpful feedback. I would recommend her.

awful. no real spine when it comes to "politically incorrect" issues. hides behind a smile but don't get her upset or test her preconceived ideas about what's "appropriate" for discussion. if you want hard hitting, real life topics she's not the one to deal. she'd rather pretend that everyone is the same and avoid uncomfortable race differences.

Here is a professor who goes completely and overly out of her way to help her students. The readings weren't my thing, but her enthusiasm and questioning allowed me to get involved in class discussions I would previously care nothing about. She is polite, organized, and down to earth, letting us know exactly what's expected.

Miserable "Barbie" woman who upholds the worst stereotypes. She dances around race issues like a frightened child. She's about appearances, so if you don't bow down to her and treat her like a pretty princess who smells like rose water then you're in for a rough ride. I think, for all of her intelligence, she's pretty socially immature.

Dr. Rose is a great teacher, who really lets her student discuss readings and form their own opinions. The class does require some work to do well but it does have the W suffix. She gives you a page of typed comments for your 1st draft, individual comments. How many profs do that! She also is willing to take time to discuss papers one on one.

Okay, I like her a lot, but she pushes talking.
