Comment:

She is a nice lady but she does baby her class. Every week you have a reading assignment and most of the time there is a brief quiz on it the following class. The only grades are 2 tests and the quizzes. She gives reviews but the tests are still pretty difficult. MAKE SURE you attend class and pay attention. If you don't, you won't pass.

This class was tough. Make sure you do the reading assignments because usually (not always) there's a quiz at the beginning of next class. Her tests are hard and a bit confusing because most of the answers make sense but you have to choose the best one. She was a nice lady but she also treats her students like children.

If you have any life outside this one class work, family, friends, obligations... this class is not for you. She expects you to read 50-80 pages a week, get quizzed on your reading as soon as class starts- wo explanation, confusing PowerPoint, action project, 15 page paper, presentation, mid-term, and final exam. To much work for 3 credits

Mrs. Stinchcomb is very sweet and kind. I think she could have been a little more lenient on making up daily quizzes and tests, especially for those with valid reasons for missing class, but overall her class was awesome. The class was not difficult. I reviewed my notes once before each test and got an A- at the end of the semester.

She is absolutely amazing! Loved every bit of her class! I got an a in the class and even though it was tons of reading, it was worth it to be involved in the debates. You'll get eaten alive if you don't know your information. Totally worth the "effort", if you'd call it that.

read comments before taking her class and realized all the negative comments are from those that did nothing in her class. I got a A- and only wished that I was able to to get a higher A. She challenged me and that is what College is about. So if you want an easy A then you should pass on her class, but if willing to work then definitely take her.

She is very very old school. quizes daily on random parts of the chapter. nasty attitude. treats students like 5 year olds. 15 page paper that she picks at and takes points off for ever comma you miss. my gpa was a 3.5 before i took her class. i got a c- RUN. Do not take this teacher!!! She downgrades all the students, and will treat you like a child. The midterm and the final are very long, and the questions are not straight forward. Very picky with grammar and horrible attitude towards the students. I had to make a complain because she did not let me use the restroom during a test.

nowhere near as bad as everyone says. Tests are long and questions are not straightforward, they require critical thinking. She can be a grammar nazi when grading papers but overall she is fair. Study hard and DO THE COMPETENCIES and youll be fine. Got a B in the class

Stinchcomb is tough but if you do her competencies for the exams you will without a doubt pass them. They are long but are essential to survival in the class. She is not the easiest lady to listen to for three hours at a time but just show up, read, and DO THE COMPETENCIES and youll be fine. Would not recommend her if you are looking for an easy A

In the beg. I loved her, she was demanding and told us from day one that we needed read, pay attention, and take excellent notes. I followed her every rule, knew the answer to every question she asked during lectures. Wrote a 14 page paper that I put my heart and soul into. I knew the material, and was present for every class. She gave me a C-.

She gives a one question quiz at the start of every class. This question can be anywhere from the reading and is 1% of your grade with a total of ten quizzes for 10% of your grade. If you are late 3 times or absent 3 times -1% off your grade. Final paper requires a lot of work and an on site observation on you own time. Decent teacher but hard work

Professor Stinchcomb was by far one of the most interesting professors I have had. She is demanding, but provides you with all of the information needed to do well in her class. I received a 95, and a 99 on her exams, and did well on her paper. Read all of the chapters, and do her competencies and it is impossible not to receive at least a B.

Have no idea what last rater was talking about. Midterm and final review are very helpful. Straightforward class with a paper due towards end of semester. If you do the reading and attend class then you should do extremely well. For those who focus on their education this is an easy A.

She is very demanding, gets lost a lot on her conversation. Whatever she gives you to get ready for both midterm and final is useless. Dont get sick and miss a class, she hates that. She treats you like you are in High School all over again. The class is boring and useless. Unless you need to take a class with her then go for it, otherwise DONT!!!!

I enjoyed her interesting & fun class.It requires studying, attendance in class & basic drive for a good grade but what class doesn't. I liked the professor! Everything on the test is either mentioned in class or in the book & she posts grades within 2 days. If you don't attend class or study then college may not be for you let alone this class :)
