One of the best profs in the BCA dept out of...2 and one of them is poindexter so that says a lot. He is caring and passionate about teaching, and makes a horrible curriculum interesting and introspective. Find out what school he is at now and take his class!

He is without a doubt one of the best professors at CMU. It's sad to know that he is leaving CMU. I went into the class thinking it would be terrible having it at 8am, turned out it was one of the best classes i've ever taken . He is a great teacher

The best professor I have ever had. Extremely knowledgeable but also a great teacher (which can't be said about a lot of profs.). Relates material well and makes it interesting. Really great dry sense of humor too.

CMU & BCA is losing a tremendous asset. He is sharp, knowledgable, and makes material interesting. He makes you form an opinion, and gives you the motivation to do something about it. Exceptional at explaining very complex concepts - Iowa State's gain.

Very smart guy, but seems like an academic. I don't think the material he's teaching is really going to be much of an asset. However, class is pretty entertaining when you don't have to watch videotaped lectures. One of the best BCA professors I've had.
