I really enjoyed Liss' class very much. More discussion-based than lecture heavy - a whole lot of reading! We would do Jeopardy the class before an exam and then would basically tell you what was on it. One paper due at the end of the semester, but she gives clear criteria. Make sure to start this ASAP because she rarely gives out As on them!!

I have always dreaded seminar because I knew it would be very hard, as a research class. Dr. Liss makes it not only easy, but fun! Gives us lots of time in our groups to work on our projects and does not make this class a burden on everyone

I had Dr. Liss for my FSEM which was a class based on happiness. Her work is well detailed and comprehensible. There are a lot of grades so it helps if you don't do so well on a couple of assignments. She is very energetic, makes class interesting and wants you to pass. She was also my advisor. Very organized and on top of things.

Attendance is mandatory because of REEF questions but if you miss a few classes it won't hurt your grade that much. She gives a huge amount of extra credit opportunities and her lectures are easy to listen to. Everything is online (text book questions and readings). She is goofy but such great woman. Highly recommend talking this class.

The textbook is online and the quizzes online you can use your notes etc. She is funny and full of energy! Gives a lot of extra credit to bring grade up. Counts REEF points for attendance. Amazing and so helpful! If you can take a class with her do it! I took Psych 100 with her!

She is an amazing professor but she goes off on tangents and that leads to not finishing material in class. Participation is key and if you miss class this will hurt you in the end.

She's really funny and cares a lot about your learning. She gives you everything you need and she always lets you know when somethings changes. Only homework is a chapter a week and it is very easy. She's a great lady and I would definitely take another class with her.

She's so energetic and clearly loves what she does. She offers lots of opportunities for extra credit that are easy to do. Her tests aren't hard if you pay attention and take notes, because she'll tell you what things would be on her test. Participation matters because she does review questions during class that require you to click in the answers

Tests are directly from books/lecture power points. She gives so much extra credit that you don't even have to do well on tests to get a B in the class, if that's what you're looking for. She is kinda whacky, but it keeps things interesting. Basically a giant lecture class.

She truly cares about her students and gives many opportunities for extra-credit. I would take any class by her. She's hilarious and personable and is just perfect for teaching psychology.

Dr. Liss is very enthusiastic about her job. She obviously loves what she does and is always excited about the topic we are talking about. She gives extra credit on all exams. iClicker is vital, though. Make sure to come to class and get those points, because the will have an impact on your grade if you don't. I can't wait to take another class!

Dr. Liss is an amazing professor. She lectures clearly and she's pretty funny too. Gives many opportunities for extra credit, and attendance is not necessary as long as you get your 50 clicker points (3 per day). The tests are easy if you do the online work, and she's easy to talk to if you have questions. Your grade is under your complete control!

A wonderful Professor. Her lectures are easy to understand and follow. Definitely would recommend her. The only thing is you DON'T have to show up, but iclicker points matter. So don't get in the habit of skipping. Also the tests are APPLICATION so you need to know the material. There is plenty of extra credit. Just pay attention and you're good!

Dr. Liss is my favorite professor on campus at least the best out of the 19 ones I've had. She is so enthusiastic about the material and loves talking about things she is interested as well as her students. Open-minded, caring, hilarious. She is a ball of energy and I left class everyday hype and ready to discuss anything and everything.

Wonderful Teacher! If you show up and follow along with the readings and lecture you will pass with no problem. She is very engaging and the more a class interacts and participates the better she gets. I would sign up for another one of her classes in a heartbeat. By far my favorite professor...

Extraverted really isn't the correct term to describe Dr. Liss. She's constantly bouncing off the walls, hyper and full of energy. The class is interesting but she's a tough grader. Don't expect an A in her class. Even if you meet her expectations she will always consider you to be 'mediocre.'

Liss is one of the most enthusiastic teachers I have ever had. Her eagerness to teach makes this class worth coming to even if you aren't sure you are interested in the material. She uses powerpoints during class and posts them on canvas at the beginning of the semester. Her tests are not hard as long as you study what she put on the powerpoint.
