Quizzes were difficult & worth 40% of the entire grade. He grades them very harshly with almost no partial credit. I never corrected him when he made grading mistakes, hoping he would curve at the end. Do not depend on that! Showed up late to class consistently. Sped through PowerPoint. Do your OWL homework and read every last page of the book.

He's a great teacher. Very fair. Pay attention in class and you can achieve a good grade. Only problem with him is his accessibility as he is the department chair and he has little to no time. And the few times you do get time with him it kinda feels like you're wasting his time. But he's a funny guy and the best chemistry teacher I've had at tech.

Dr. Boles is a great teacher. He moves at a good pace, and throws in interesting and funny stories along the way. Quizzes, midterm, and final are very fair, and he allows students to earn extra credit which is very helpful in the end. The only downside to the class is, it's hard to pay complete attention for a solid hour and a half lol.

I took this class to help my weak background in Chemistry. It was extremely helpful! I am so happy that I've taken it! I believe it's actually called Jumpstart Chemistry. If you have any doubts about your background, you should take it! Dr. Boles is extremely helpful!
