I took microbiology with professor Erikson. He has a funny, dry sense of humor that I appreciate, but his monotone voice can be hard to pay attention to for 8am lectures. Difficult class overall but Erikson really does care and is good with emails and giving back grades.

nice guy but lectures can be dry. His note packets were helpful at first but they are not condensed. puts info u dont need to know all over the packets making it hard to study. Never clear w/grading criteria. puts questions on exams he told u u didn't need to know so majority gets them wrong. exam structure is not consistent throughout the semester

Comment:

The sweetest man ever! Such a kind heart and is truly dedicated to helping his students understand. Probably the most down to earth professor in the science department. Also, he has great experience in the research world. A great resource if you're looking for outside help. I highly recommend taking him for microbiology. Plus, he's hilarious.

Jeff is amazing! He adorable and wonderfully helpful, he is very committed to helping you pass and doesn't want to see anybody fail. He also says the funniest things! He provides a very helpful outline for each lecture so notes are easy to take

Jeff is the man! He is one of the greatest professors I have ever had. He is soft-spoken at first, but is easily brought out of his shell. He says the absolute darndest things in class and is incredibly helpful outside of class. Love that man to pieces.

Best professor ever!! He is humble and such a man of God. He is always willing to meet with you and discuss questions. Every lecture has an outline with blanks to fill in. Tests are fairly easy, you just have to study. For the last two tests, which are on diseases, MAKE NOTECARDS AT LEAST A WEEK BEFORE THE TEST to have adequate time to study.

Phenomenal professor. Gives outlines for his lectures & tells what he will test on. Exams are fair, but still can be tricky if you don't study. Always willing to help you understand material. He explains things very clearly in lab, and gets you in and out quickly. Gives a good deal of extra credit. A humble man of Christ you can always talk with.

Professor Erickson is the nicest teacher you will ever have. I didn't know ANYTHING about the subject, and when I struggled he met with me frequently to explain the material better, I even ended up with an A. His exams arent too bad because he tells you exactly what to study.He also used a Colbert Report clip in class once...Take him for human bio!

ECOLOGY - I really liked his lectures. Gives you an outline for each lecture, you fill in the blanks and stuff. He tells you what to study for on the test, no surprises. He is a chill guy, and helpful. I really liked him as a teacher and even more as a lab instructor.

Dr. Erikson is a very nice person and is willing to help and answer all of your questions. His exams are fair and require a lot of memorization. He gets you in and out of lab fast which is always a plus. However, during lecture he can be a little boring.

My grade does not reflect his teaching... He is an awesome professor and person. This was a gen ed so no one in the class actually enjoyed or understood the material and he tried to accommodate us the best he could with curves and extra open notes quizzes. If you struggle make the effort to meet with him - he is extremely helpful and understanding.

I love Jeff. If I could take every class with him I would. I would give him every tree in the forest. But he wouldn't like that :) BECAUSE HE IS COOL ABOUT SAVING THE ENVIRONMENT. And he laughs at the cutest stuff. Look out for random field trips!
