Comment:

He's okay but very long-winded. He'll say that you're about to start an activity and then ramble about something for several minutes before actually starting that activity. It's annoying. If you follow his rubrics for the speaking assignments (there are 5 and you get to choose the topic for most of them) you'll get an A. It's an easy class.

Comment:

Jeff Wittman is probably the best advisor a student could ever get. He's empathetic, incredibly competent, and understanding. He's also a wonderful professor and brings an energy to the classroom that no one else can. I couldn't more highly recommend him, especially with how simple he makes the topics seem and ow eagerly he teaches them.

Comment:

Wittman is an energetic man but he knows absolutely nothing about theatre despite having a Master's in it. Plus he is the chair of the dept. If you want to study theatre, go to a different school. LC provides no growth or stimulation for artists, and Wittman is to be blamed. He chooses awful shows and makes illegal edits. Avoid this school.

If you are an actor you will love Jeff as a professor. However if you are a technician or interested in a non-acting part of theatre you will hate it! He really believes everyone wants to be an actor and if you choose a different perspective in theatre than it is just because they couldn't get a part in the show. Very biased.

WE LOVE JEFF! Anyone who has left a comment regarding Mr Wittman's doing shows that his daughter can be in is a jealous fool. Don't listen to those reviews. The writers are just put off because they had horrible attitudes and thought they were too talented for our private liberal arts school. Not the case, and that's why the didn't get parts.

Wittman is insane in class but so much fun. You would almost have to work to not get at least a B in any of his classes. Stickler for attendence though so just show up and you're half-way there.

Very good hearted. Really crazy in class, but his quirkiness made me want to come to class at 8 30 in the morning. Doing productions with him is really fun. he is really good with being flexible to others schedules and problems. He is just an all around go

He really encouraged me to follow my dream all the way to New York City. I am still here, six years later, performing all over the place. He is fantastically kind, supportive, encouraging, and honest. I wouldn't be here without him.
