no matter how hard you try on the papers, no one gets an A. He's a nice guy.. but expects a lot. 4 10 page papers, no tests, discussion board every night. very nice teacher, awful class. must be extremely politically and historically educated or you will be lost.

I actually chose his course that was because I had no choice at that time, but he is indeed a super teacher, he's well organized and an exellent speaker, I'm never interested in history but I've decided to take history in my sophermore year because Bass is fab!!!

Bass is the kind of high quality prof who makes you feel like you're getting your money's worth out of class: is an expert and articulates the material very well. Tough grader on papers lets you submit a draft before the paper is due, on which he offers helpful comments. Really appreciates student input and tallies how many times you participate.

WONDERFUL. Makes history and politics interesting without infulencing you. Loved every minute of it. Not boring at all, vibrant because he loves the material. Definately recommend taking his classes, especially "US Presidency from 1944 to Present"

I Love Bass!! hes a cool guy and gives A TON of notes BUT hes still awesome....his tests arent bad just alot of writing on them and he likes u if you laugh at his subtle jokes...he knows people are bored and admits it but you will be way smarter when you leave this class! go bass!

Bass appears sort of dry at first, but he's prob. the best history teacher I had since high school.. Alex Dawson is great, too, in Latin American history.
