Comment:

He makes sure that you understand the material and takes the time to explain it. If the student pays attention and asks questions any time they need to, they will get the answers the need. He makes the lecture extremely easy to understand, and entertaining. The lecture, homework, and test are done the same way, so there are no surprises.

He's the best math professor in this whole school. the lectures are awesome. Fair grader, hillarious. Honestly the only lecture I looked forward to be at every T-TH. He taught me things that I was supposed to know before calc 1. 12/10

Hes without any doubt the best math teacher at UCC, I had him for Mat144 to Mat172, Hes lectures are clear af and hes a good grader. Prof Beckman is relly fun as well, hes my math sugar daddy and a GOD for the student at UCC.

Prof. Beckman is a really good teacher. He can move quickly at times, but is really good at explaining material in an easy to understand way. He does 3 exams worth 60% of the final grade, but he drops the worst one, and the final is worth 40% of the final grade.

Prof. Beckman is considered to be the best math teacher that I've ever had in my educational career. He showed me the meaning math and almost made me change my major to mathematics. He shows you the derivative of every relevant formula we're using in that course, which shocks me. You must NOT SKIP any class.. He is an exceptional professor!!

Beckman is an angel sent down from math heaven. He is an amazing professor for math and when I took calc 1 with another professor, I got a D but I continued on. In his class I studied a lot but it was worth it because you learn a lot from his teachings. He makes calc 2 seem like algebra when he explain. He only teaches up to MAT172 though.

Comment:

Professor Beckman is one of the best professors in UCC. He is very humorous and his teaching style is understood well. You will have to work for the A and studying is a must. His lectures are really heavy, so skipping is not good. Overall, I do not regret taking this professor. His great!

If you want to learn math - this is your professor. His style of teaching, professionalism, wit, and knowledge is extremely rare in colleges. Fast paced but will help during office hours if you're falling behind. As with any calculus it is not an "easy A" but he will give you all tools necessary to get that A.

Professor Beckman is one of the best math professors I have ever had because he puts a lot of love into his explanation of any math topics he teaches to the class. He gives out a lot of hw though but at the end his class will be worth 4 credits because you will learn a lot from him and math will seem much easier.

One of the best proffesors at UCC. (if not best one). He is very fast paced, but covers 99% of the material that you are supposed to learn. If you don't understand something he will stop the class just for you until you understand waddup. I definitely recommend Prof. Beckman.
