Jeff is a wonderful man and a good teacher. A lot of people don't like him because he is old school and expects you to apply yourself, but this university needs more professors like him. He wakes up every day and continues doing what he loves to do regardless of his limitations. The least you can do his give him back half the effort he gives us.

I think he is an excellent teacher. He actually cares if the student understands and grasp the information he is teaching. I think out of the Accounting teachers he is one of my top 3 accounting teachers. He explains everything very thoroughly. He also gives you several different ways to do a problem.

You can learn a lot from Professor Carper! He can be difficult to follow and is quite slow at times (medical reasons) but if you are patient and willing to hang in there, he knows what he's talking about. He's been doing this for a long time and he's willing to explain anything more than once if you're paying attention!

He always has small classes because no one ever wants to take it. I recommend that you do. If you do need help, he's available & is always there to lighten the mood if something is too hard. People should give him a chance because I did really well in his class because I actually showed up and applied myself outside of the classroom. Carper Rules!

I thought he was a good teacher. He teaches the material very thoroughly. He is hard to follow at times, so it is imperative that you pay close attention to his lectures. Just do the homework he assigns and you will do ok. I did have to get a tutor for the last test. This is not a course you can pass without studying. I will be taking him next sem.

Awful professor. All he was good for was a little joke here and there and laughing at him when he'd talk with his eyes closed. He didn't help any students, just wrote on the board the way HE wanted to teach the course, while the book taught everything a completely different way. If you're about to take accounting, steer clear of Carper.

Carper is an alright teacher. He expects that you already know a lot about accounting, and that makes it hard to follow him at times.
