It is a must that you attend class everyday so you can take notes on his lectures that you will then be tested on. Then you must read the textbook chapters and study that material. The tests consist of knowing the vocab and applying the concepts to made up scenario questions. He is not lenient when it comes to discussing your grade.

He was the most boring person to listen to. Also, his test questions were extremely difficult compared to his practice tests and his notes.

Not bad, his tests are very challenging but there is extra credit that bumps you up a whole letter grade. Jeff also claims he doesn't curve, but he curves at the last minute before grades are posted. This was my blow off class and I got an A. Not as bad as everyone says. Also, beware of dad jokes.

He's a pretty good professor, but the 4 tests are way harder than they need to be. If you take the practice quizzes multiple times and review all notes from lecture and the textbook, you'll be ok.

this class is very manageable, the tests are difficult but if you listen to the podcasts and take the online review quizzes you'll be fine. Also, most important thing for exams is to attend the TA review session- so helpful. professor is knowledgable and lectures with helpful slides in the background. not a lot of reading required

Henriques is known to be the hardest psych 202 professor and while I feel this is true, I actually learned more psych than my peers who were earning an easy A. Henriques is very generous with extra credit and understands that he is a hard grader. His class is NOT cumulative, and he is very accessible outside of class.

He was a fine professor. Did offer extra credit in numerous ways. Counted attendance through clicker. His lectures were actually very interesting. The exams were a little hard just because the questions were both very broad and too specific.

Henriques clearly knows psychology very well but has problems with the teaching part. The amount of work in this class was unbelievable and the tests were extremely picky. Also, turn off your phones because he gets really mad when they go off during class. If you can take a different professor, do it because their classes are a lot less work.

Lectures were good and overall was the best professor of my semester. His exams are just difficult and I require you to focus on everything in lectures and master your textbook material. If you put an effort in the class, it isn't difficult to do well and get an AB.

Jeff was a good teacher overall. His class was easy to do well in, but hard to do amazing in. Lectures were fairly engaging overall and I would recommend attending them. At the end of the day he's a pretty average teacher, and an A is definitely obtainable with a little effort.

Henriques can be quite the divisive figure due to his quirky lectures, heavy memorization tests, but if you want to get a solid grounding in this field, you should start with him. His 4 tests are non-cumulative but are detail-heavy and you need to rely both on textbook and lecture notes. He actually is a pretty nice guy but watch out for the um's.

Henriques is very passionate about psychology. Class seems tough because grades are 80% tests, but they aren't cumulative and are mostly applied memorization. With the half a letter grade bump from extra credit, its not that difficult to get a decent grade. Read the online textbook and take the review quizzes a lot.

The tests are incredibly difficult and often do not focus on big ideas, but rather little details he failed to mention in lecture or in podcasts. The content is very interesting, but if possible, I would recommend taking this class with a different professor.

The tests got progressively harder. The questions are very specific or ask about weird scenarios. You need to study a lot and do a lot of practice questions. Henriques is very adamant about paying attention in class and will call you out if you text or talk during lectures. The textbook reading is very dry, but lectures are interesting.

Henriques is a very smart man, and honestly his lectures are very interesting. His exams are very difficult, and even after lots of studying, it is difficult to get a good grade. 202 with Henriques is a good class, just hard. If you are not a Psych major, or overly interested in psych, take Green instead. 8:00 lecture with Green is worth it!

There are 4 tests that account for 60 points each. The tests are incredibly hard and include info from both the textbook and lectures. So you cannot miss a lecture bc he does not post lectures or powerpoints. Test questions are very hard and very specific. If you want a good grade you have to put a lot of time into this class.

Professor Henriques was a great teacher! Although exams are a bit hard and points in the class are heavily weighted, overall a very effective instructor. He is very accessible at office hours and helps with projects.

Overall, Henriques is a good professor. He manages to make his lectures interesting, and he interacts with students through the iClicker which is very practical in big classes. However if you are concerned with getting good grades, I would avoid his class entirely because the tests are for lack of a better word, unfair. Good Prof, bad tests.
