Super nice guy. Really good lectures and class discussions. Not much homework besides reading. Tests are easy if you take notes. Really tough grader for papers though.

Exams are easy as long as you study and you're present in class taking notes. Not always clear how lectures relate to exams but he will have time before one is coming up for students to ask questions about what will be on it-take advantage of it. Papers are short but in a bad way: fit a lot of info in short space, can be difficult. Really nice guy.

He makes it very clear what is going to be on the exams or quizzes. His lectures are fun and he is always trying new things to keep us listening. He comes off more strict than what he actually is and his exams are super easy. It covers diversity intensive and ethics intensive, but he barely talks about ethics.

He is very nice, and an engaging lecturer. I really enjoyed being in his class, but his tests are AWFUL. You really have to pay attention to what's written on the board, versus when he goes off topic. Readings are for quizzes, what's on the board is on the test. Three tests (1 is the final exam), and a quiz every 2 to 3 weeks on the readings.

Professor Mann is one of the best professors here. I loved coming to class every day. he keeps things interesting, he's passionate, and the class discussions always keep you excited and involved in class. I loved this class so much I wish I could have taken it twice!

Hard tests--90% lecture notes 10% textbook. At least he's clear about what he wants for the tests. His humor is really amusing. He's helpful and clearly enjoys what he does. Class was interesting and not boring, though it was lecture-based. Just study hard for his exams and you'll be fine. PS. he seems to target class clowns with his humor

He has good stories and is comical, but that is about it. He knows the basic facts about what we are learning, but class is boring and pretty much always lecture formatted. Also, it seems a lot of times when people have questions he is unsure of the answers. His tests are hard and all subjective. Although the homework load is not bad.

Interesting professor if you can stand with a bit of scathing, sarcastic humor. My only gripe is that he's the adviser to the SU College Republicans and often finds a way to insert his right-wing propaganda into class. But he does enjoy bring pop culture to class too---the simpsons, family guy, south park...and finds a way to relate them to class

I love Dr. Mann! He is a great teacher. He is also one of the funniest professors that I have had here at SU! His grading is a bit tough, as his tests do require alot of preparation but I found the subject interesting. GREAT teacher. Love the guy!
