Professor Milner is great!! As long as you are respectful, you will get by just fine. He is very clear of what he expects of us. Do the HW and take good notes because you will be allowed to use these on the tests!! which is soo great! I wish he taught more levels of math because I would take him again!! I highly recommend him!

Comment:

Took him for Math10 and it was so easy. He lets you use any notes you want on exams, and his practice exams before the test are literally the exact questions of the test, just with different numbers. You don't have to do the HW it only helps you if you do. I wish he taught move levels of math. I would take him again in a heart beat!

Good teacher. can use notes and hw on tests, but that is useless if you dont actually understand the material. also to the guy who kept coughing up a hairball in his MW 220 class, get your degree online cause that was extremely irritating.

He can be intimidating, but if you are a respectful student, he'll reciprocate. Class is extremely structured, and homework is easy if you do the class work. Tests are open note/homework. Some test questions are challenging, but it's very much like the HW, classwork, and notes. He's very fair with grading. Definitely would take again.

Great teacher Dr. Milner, but his tests are extremely tough. He gives you a good chance though to pass. 10% of your grade is attendance, another 10% is participation and the rest are homework and tests. so if you show up everyday and do decent on the test you can easily pass the class. so attendance is key! and decent test scores too. good luck

DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY. He pms a lot if you arrive late to class. Shot you down if you ask questions. Tests are way harder than the hw. FYI there is a lot of hw each week. Even though the tests are opened notes, it is still tough. Plus, attendance is mandatory.

I took this class twice and am finally passing it now the second time around. this is a self taught class and tests are totally different from homework. Only take this class if you are going into it with math as your major or your excellent at it already. he will help and stuff but its taught using power point presentations. study for test

Prof. Milner is a great Mathematician. He will explain the concepts well, and answer any and all questions you may have in regards to the subject. His tests are open note, or book if you have a physical copy. Don't cheat and ruin it for everybody. He does what he can to help you succeed in the class already. The homework can be long, but it helps.

I took his class for precalc and received a B, despite having C's on most of the tests. I didn't practice too much outside of the classroom, except for homework, so I was extremely happy to see my end grade. If you try, this class will be relatively easy. He lets you use notes on tests. Just ask if you have any questions, and he'll answer them.

Professor Milner is great for anyone who actually wants to learn Mathematics; he reviews homework at the start of class and also shows his students much simpler methods of solving problems. However, be warned that he is a no-nonsense professor. Attendance is required, as is a willingness to learn. Show him respect, and you'll enjoy the semester.

Classes are extremely structured, so the whole semester follows the syllabus perfectly. If you have homework questions, ASK. He goes over them all without making you feel bad. He doesn't take students' nonsense, so pay attention, be respectful. He taught me more in this class than I learned in a decade of school, would take again!

I have always struggled in math but this class has helped more than ever. The way he explains and works through problems is very clear. I highly recommend taking his class and you will leave truly understanding the material. He is funny and nice and all he wants is for you to be on time, ask questions, and respect him! You won't be disappointed

Comment:

All about the tests and homework. Homework is assigned for every day of class, but due at the time of the test. He lets you use notes, book, and the homework for all tests, calculator once you're into the later chapters. Can be quite harsh on people who arrive late, talk, etc, but if you're a good student and pay attention, he's a good teacher.

Prof. Milner is great. He explains everything very well. He reviews homework questions at the beginning of class and is always willing to help. He allows you to use your book and notes on the test. 20% of your grade is homework and attendance. The only thing that I would change is to have a review session before the exam.
