Do not take Indian History if you are not a good writer. Grade is mainly on writings but some points for showing up to class. A lot of reading, but if you are a decent writer, go to class, and pay attention, you'll be fine without reading.

If you want a life, and you want to have time for other classes, then don't take this class. Very harsh grader. I get A's on all of my other papers, except for this class. He writes rude comments on your paper and you can't even read his writting. I will give him: nice and interesting professor.

Lectures seemed a little long but there was a lot of information in a class time. He provides feedback and encourages students to visit him anytime they have a question. He was extremely helpful and his syllabi was very complete.

EXCELLENT instructor. The only professor I've ever heard drop the F bomb in class. Makes the class very interesting. He is a liberal, so if snide little comments against Republicans bother you, don't take his class. Lectures are entertaining, yet provide TONS of information. As long as you read the text and take good notes, you'll do GREAT!!

tons of writing and reading. 7 pages of notes during class. nice guy but lots of work and essay tests. very harsh grader. 30 pages worth of journals a semester. I've never received a C on anything I've ever written let alone had someone make me rewrite things and tell me my ideas were underdeveloped.

Excellent teacher, knows his stuff, but you have to like the subject matter to appreciate his long lectures. Take a 60-minute class over a 90-minute when possible. It is also important that to enjoy his class, you have to like to read and write.
