Comment:

Dr. Plant is really passionate about interior design, and it shows in his teaching. That said, he repeats almost every word he says; it gets so boring! The tests are often over some material we never even discussed, but he gives extra credit and often curves. Besides, the material isnt difficult if it's something you're interested in. Worth a try!

If you are a HEC major you cannot avoid taking him sadly, class is very boring. Lectures the whole time, references to a textbook he tells you not to buy, only has a few grades to average together. If you miss class he takes points from your final grade. Worst teacher I've ever had at tech if you somehow can avoid taking him do so.

His grading is five quizzes (pop), two case studies, and two tests. For every two days missed you lose a point off your final grade. He refuses to use ilearn and is very confusing sometimes. He does however give a study guide for the tests. So, if you attend class regularly and do the work a B is possible.

You need to go to class every day and take notes. His test are from the notes, no book is needed. He is very knowledgeable about what he is teaching but will tell random stories about his life. I didn't like the class much, but learned more about finances than I already knew.

Dr. Plant is the BEST professor. I am so honor to be in his class in this summer! I learn A Lot about financial skill in this class, and I got my first Creadit Card after this class! He is always so patient with me, though I do not speak good English. Dr. Plant always explains to me if I don't understand particular concept. Dr. Plant is the best!

You will learn to hate every single one of his mannerisms and his teaching style, and yet still like and respect Dr Plant very much. He is very passionate and enthusiastic about what he teaches, I have had him for all my core courses. If there are issues he is very open to comments and will help when he can, plus you don't ever need the book.

I have had Dr. Plant for Aspects, Arch. Graphics, Res 1 and Res 2. If you come to class and actually do your work, you will make a good grade. He can be a bit monotone and dull sometimes, but he means well and will help you out if you dont understand something.

This is the greatest class I've ever taken. I can't wait for Res I. He's a good teacher for housing and design and takes his time to explain things. Don't be discouraged by the Aspects class, it's much harder than his other classes. If you take good notes, the tests are straight from his lectures!

Good teacher. Unsure however of what he will ask on his exams. STUDY STUDY STUDY for the "chair quiz" that he gives. I'm a Housing student so I found the course to be very interesting. You will need your book for this class and if you're in Housing too, you will use it again in Architectural Graphics. And go to class!
