HE must be an excellent choir teacher, everyone seems to love him however in regards to theory I found him very difficult to follow. He is fun but don't count on covering much of the subject in class...there is hardly any combination of text and lexture; neither progress with each other. Very confusing!!!!!

Jeff was a prize when I was at the UofR (late '70s) and he is still going strong. He is retiring soon, so take any classes you can while you have the chance to learn from a master.

Not only a great professor of conducting, but a superb gentleman. Clear and consise, he presents the intracasies of conducting with an unparalleled passion. Somebody who doesn't enjoy this class is either stuck on old habits or dosen't like Rickard as a person.
