Jennie Welliver is by far one of the most inspiring, kind-hearted, intelligent professors I have had thus far. Follow her outline rules, show up for class on time, and get up there and try, with attempts and courage to improve each speech, and you will easily receive a 4.0. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ACTUALLY PRACTICING YOUR SPEECHES IN THE MIRROR AT HOME

Mrs. Welliver was an amazing professor. I had her Monday nights and I did not mind coming to class at all. There was never a dull moment and she made public speaking a fun class. She is really easy to get along with and just all around a great professor. More professors should take notes from her class.

An awesome professor. Makes you feel comfortable, very supportive, and encouraging. A perfect professor to have if you are nervous to speak in front of other people. Easy to get along with and talk to. Need more professors like her!!!!

Went into this class very nervous and was very comfortable by the second class. If you are nervous about speaking in front of others, take her! Really enjoyed this class! Very laid back and makes you feel comfortable.

I am not sure I have ever had a more enjoyable class. Mrs. Welliver is everything you could want in a teacher and more. She makes herself available and grades fairly. This is a person who should be teaching communications. If you have the chance, take her class, you won't be disappointed.

I went into this class feeling like it was going to be awful. I'm an introvert, and Public speaking seemed like it'd be a nightmare for me. And at first, it was. But over the first couple classes, Jennie Welliver was able to get me comfortable speaking in front of people. I've never felt more confident.

Jennie Welliver is an exceptional instructor and is one of the best that Mott has to offer. She is there for you and gives excellent feedback. I went into this class extremely nervous but she makes you and your entire class feel comfortable with speaking in front of them. I would recommend her for anyone that needs to take COMM-131.

Best teacher ever. She will explain everything and make sure everyone understands. Never rude, always positive no matter what. You will not need the book,she will tell you the most important things about the book. Seriously, the best teacher. Do your outlines just like she says, show up and you will be fine. She is the nicest teacher you will EVER HAVE. I promise you that. Very understanding when it comes to people being nervous about giving speeches, and you just need to write a good outline and not say "uhm" every other word and call it a 4.0.

Jenni is an awesome teacher! If you're nervous about taking a public speaking course, take her class! She's very helpful when it comes to giving speeches and by the end of the class you'll be giving speeches like it's no big deal. Sometimes I'm shy so I was worried about this class but it actually turned out to be my favorite class!

She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is super easy and loves her job and making people feel like we are a family in that class. She does not care if you get nervous or cant speak as long as you follow the guidelines on your outline you will get an A on every speech just like I did. Also go to class you get almost 300 points for it.
