She is such a nice person but this is a horrible course. Tests are incredibly difficult due to not labeling which methods to use. If you don't pass the tests you don't pass the class. Although she is the best calculus professor at manhattanville.

Loved her! She took attendance once in a while, she would always post the notes on blackboard so it was always easy to catch up if you missed something, gave a quick 2 or 3 question quiz every week but dropped the 2 lowest quiz grades, & did hw checks, there were 2 tests & a final, she would always go back if we didn't understand a topic,

goes at a nice pace where everyone can follow and is willing to go over problems you have questions on. makes sure everyone understands before continuing. gives very short quizzes every couple weeks based on hw and drops the 2 lowest. uses a free online textbook. tests are fair. great prof

Excellent math teacher. You take a 5 minute quiz every thursday on what you learned and you take 11 total and she drops the lowest grade of those. She does good reviews for tests and if you have questions about homework she will take time at the beginning of class to answer them. Very clear in her teaching.

I'm a math major and I've taken classes with her for 4 semesters. She is the best teacher because she gives computational examples, she goes at a really slow pace that everyone can follow, and stops to try to explain something if someone doesn't get it. Always in her office and always willing to help.

Philly is the best!!!! I try to take her every semester and if an elective is offered with her, I make sure to take that too. She doesn't go too fast like some other professors and she is always willing to help

She's the best teacher in the whole dept. I should know, I was a math major. Besides Kiernan, Lefton gives computational examples and thoroughly explains stuff. If u go 4help during office hrs, she's always more than willing 2help til u understand.
