I looked forward to taking the class but now I dread showing up. I don't feel that she's provided an environment for honing the skills I already posses nor for learning new ones. Despite her enthusiasm she doesn't bring much to the subject matter. My pet peeve: she doesn't manage her (my) time efficiently. I can't recommend to a serious student.

She was great. She reminded me of a sweet older woman, like my grandmother. Be sweet to her and do your work. Her assignments did need more explanation, but she was always willing to sit down with me. Im do well in English and I suppose she liked my writing style. I made an A. I would take again.

Super boring! Goes over the same things like 10 times... very redundant. Gets snappy with you too. Doesnt like to answer too many questions. Never knows when anything is due either. The class is easy, but you have to have a tolerance for a really boring teacher.

I am a straight A student with a strong English background. I made a B in Curtis' class because she did not like my writting style. A Harvard Grad edited a paper of mine saying it was great, still Mrs. Curtis gave me a C. (p.s. I never missed a class)

i attended all but one of her classes, and she was not helpful to me at all.not clear at all, many dropped. she assigned stuff all the time that doesn't follow her syllabus, so you must be there for her classes, otherwise you fall way behind

She is very helpful and loves her students. If you won't do your work or miss lots of classes, though, she is not very helpful then. Come to class, do your work, and ask for help when you need it, and she will help you all she can
