Connery's great! Really loves what he does, very smart. Clear grading and assignments. It's a /very/ chill class. Feels more like a book club at points. His voice is very lulling though - not recommended for an early/late class, I fell asleep at 2:00PM. But he's honestly a really good prof, definitely recommend.

Professor Connery is AMAZING! he is so passionate about teaching Shakespeare. The class requires you to read 5 Shakespeare books and keep a journal/common place book. you will get an A if you read!!! very important to stay on track because he gives pop quizzes. Only bad thing is that the test is all written.. it is ALOT of writing but I RECOMMEND!

Professor Connery is a great professor! I would totally take his class again. Commonbooks/journals every week - super easy. DO THE READING, or sparknote if you get confused. He goes over the reading each day and does his best to explain what's going on. Pop quizzes/exams include quote identification. Do the reading, PAY ATTENTION, & you'll be fine!

During the semester there was a lot of reading, but literature is all about reading. We had to write journal entries, and also had commonplace book. That was not hard, however he expected all the papers handwritten. He likes when students participate in discussions. Be ready that after each reading will be the quiz. There were 3 not hard tests.

Pro. Connery is decent. His lectures can be boring, but the reading and assignments are straight forward. Just pay attention in lecture and know about the stories to get a 4.0 like I did.

I liked Professor Connery, he's a nice guy and is passionate about the subject. However, many of the stories we read were boring or confusing so sparknotes was all I would read to prepare for tests/quizzes. You have to do commonbook and quotes each week but they're really easy. Listen in class. Would definitely recommend him for this gen ed class.

Soooo boring. There's a TON of reading, two 750+ word essay tests with two essays each, and a 2,000 word research paper. The lectures (night class in this case) are long and more plot summary with students interjecting their analysis and the professor musing over them. The subject itself was fascinating, but I wouldn't take a 3 hour class with him.

Certified legend and gift to the human race. Took him for multiple classes, best decision ever. Classes are fun, he's hilarious. You know what we did on St. Party's day in Irish Lit? Brought food in, told our best Irish jokes, then lectured. I pray I might die for him.

A very good professor. Makes the class challenging but still fairly easy as long as you do the work, and you learn a lot as well. Has a great sense of humor but stays on topic. Very clear about expectations/assignments, and about information. I would take this class again if I could.

Class was fairly simple. I walked away with an A. I rarely read any of the texts to be honest, but I would recommend buying atleast the first book (we only read poems out of the second book, you can find them online). Great sense of humor as well. Would take him again if I needed another English class!

Would take him again if I could. Awesome professor, explains everything about the stories you read and does practically spoon feed you. Very clear on what is going to be on tests and a few quizzes. Simple stuff. Great sense of humor. Makes you do Moodle forum and journal entries but it helps with the readings a lot.
