WORST TEACHER EVER! I feel like I am in an elementary level class. She has no idea what she is talking about, and can't even answer simple questions about english vocab words. Her language is rude, offensive, and unprofessional. Do not take this class.

would not recommend.. ridiculous amount of reading. All of the stories were the same. i barely got a B and it was only because i studied very hard for midterm and final.. papers were horrible, i got bad grades no matter what & she was not very eager to help.

Don't mind the readings or papers. Get lower grades on papers if you have a different opinion than she does. Very condescending. Has gone to high school, college and graduate school in Farmville, VA, so has no worldly experience. Gets her primary news from Colbert Report and Jon Stewart. A dreadful experience.

She is my favorite professor at Longwood. All these other commenters must be idiots, because that's the only way you can do poorly in her class. I always got A's on the papers, she is a very fair grader. Yes, there is a lot of reading, but it's not as bad as you'd think. As long as you're a good writer and you're not stupid, you'll do fine.

ALOT of reading. Pop quizzes on reading. Papers make up the majority of the class. Know the diffence between an assertion and a thesis. Can be rude and mean, but also trys to laugh every once in a while. Likes students to e-mail her or come to office.

I can not stress enough how bad of a teacher this woman is, that is if she is even a woman and not a demon who found her way back up through the fiery gates of hell. DO NOT take her class! It is very dull and there is about 200 pages a night of reading. Not fun stories either but dull stories written in Old English.
