Calculus 1 w/ Anal. Geometry. She is very nice but, once you get to this level with her she grades alot more difficult because she feels that you should alot. She is very critical but, if you work really hard you can get an "B" and if you eat and breath Calc. you can get an "A."

She really teaches to the student, not just covering the book to get it done. I have never been successful in a prealgebra class before now. I think that Prof. Hamersma wants her students to "get it" and she does whatever she can to help you.

GREAT TEACHER!! I PASSED MATH WITH AN "A"! SHE MOVES ALONG VERY SLOW SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND.THE STEPS SHE GIVES YOU TO SLOVE WORD PROBLEMS WILL MAKE YOU A PRO AT WORD PROBLEMS! SHE TRIES TO GIVE YOU AS MANY POINTS AS SHE CAN ON TEST.

Exellent teacher, explains everyhting thoroughly, step by step, so for the best math teacher I have ever had. She is extremely helpful, she will answer every single question in a way that a person must be dumb in order for them to not understand her. She made seem math very easy. VERY RECOMMENDABLE!!!!

While she is willing to be very helpful, the pace drags so much it is difficult to remember concepts from the early part of the unit which makes tests rough. Lack or review assignments also diverts from focusing on the material at hand, and the book just plain stinks. Overall a sweet, intelligent woman but I prefer her husband's methods.

The best math teacher I have ever had. She throughly goes over the homeowrk to help student see what are doing wrong with homework problems. She has the patience of a saint and is willing to stop and slow down and help you grasp the concepts. Don't talk in class while she is teaching, she hates that and so do the students trying to learn.

Very pleasant lady. She makes a difficult subject seem rather easy. Goes over any and all homework. Will not move ahead until you understand concepts. Gives a daily 1 question quiz on homework. Do your homework and this quiz helps GPA. Way better than her hsband, T. Hamersma.

She is awesome! Best math prof. ever and I hate math, so that's saying something. She's incredibly compassionate and will go out of her way to help explain the concepts. I plan on taking her for precalc alg. Also, very flexible-will adjust the syllabus if majority of the class is falling behind. Love her!!!!

Paige is great! She is very helpful. I ask many questions and she'll explain it until you understand. I had her the year before and as soon as I heard she was teaching the course I needed I signed up for her. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! She is sooo sweet!

Mrs. Hamersma is an AWESOME TEACHER. She makes caclulus seem easy. The best part about her is she is very understanding and willing to help. I ask tons of questions and she tries her best to answer all of them but she can be a little bit mean at times.
