She loves to talk about her husband who happens to look like the rock from her stories. she suffers from favoritism. so if you look remotely close to The Rock, be happy because this class woud be smooth sailing for you. all else who really have problems with public speaking, don't take her. she's not that much help.

So much fun! It's hard to get an A, though- I failed Brewster's class because it was inimidating, but Valencia made me so comfortable. Doesn't play favorites, but will kick your butt into shape if you don't participate. I was doing crappy until I started asking for help from her and she totally helped me. Her stories are super funny and RELEVANT!

An entertaining teacher. Young hip and cool- Pretty clear on what she looks for in speeches-have her review your outlines before speaking it helps alot. Not unfair, but tests ARE hard. U have to participate a lot to get a good grade. People say shes hot but she was pregnant when I took her! Plus her husband is a pro fighter and he's huge.

Shes fair and tells you exactly what she wants from you, study for the test and is she tells you a story before your quiz listen cause an extra credit question just might come from there. a lot of lectures and not to many speeches though and dont be afraid to participate and talk to people when you do group projects.

Awesome class!! She makes public speaking fun and interesting. I dreaded having to take this class, but she made me feel very comfortable. She also offers extra credit projects, so it takes off a lot of the pressure. Highly Recommended!!! Although she will not be teaching in the spring, so take her in the summer or fall.

If you're TERRIFIED of public speaking, take Professor Valencia. She's VERY undertanding and even more helpful. Very clear teaching style, i didn't even need the book! Very productive class, but ALWAYS fun at the same time. Her tests are a little tougher, so prepare. She offers a TON of extra credit. She's young, hip, funny, and totally hot!

she's COOL...she gets along with her students...SHE GRADES A LITTLE HARD, but thats only because she makes sure you put effort into your speeches (its college). Test is not as easy as you think...try to do all the extra credit she offers (it will help)
