Lectures are straightforward but can be boring due to the amount of material she has to cover. Accessible and caring, happy to help you out and responds to emails quickly. Tests are HEAVILY weighted, and pretty difficult, but she lets you know exactly what you need. There's a group project at the end that should boost grades and an optional final.

Great professor. Lots of lectures, but she covers EVERYTHING in class with practice. Just do a few practice problems and you should be solid for the weekly quizzes.

Don't take the regular sections of accounting if you can help it. Gaver is an amazing professor. She is very straight forward and the structure of the class is predictable and easy to follow. Gaver isn't the best at replying to emails at times but she makes herself very available to students in other capacities.

This was the easiest class I've taken at UGA. Dr. Gaver makes everything so clear and writes what you need to know on the board. After going over the material, she does a lot of practice problems. Studying for test was straight forward and easy. There's an easy, short quiz every week over the previous chapter and an easy budget project at the end.

Dr. Gaver is the best teacher I have had at IGA. She is super caring and helpful and truly cares about the class and the students. I have taken her for 2101H and 2102H and have been extremely happy. I have never heard anyone complain about any aspect of her class. You will be so happy that you took her. I wish I could take another class from her!

Comment:
Dr. Gaver is very kind, and a good teacher. She takes a bit too long with extra examples after she explains the topic, so the class gets stale after 50 minutes. That being said, she explains the topic well. There are weekly quizzes, but they aren't hard if you understand what's going on. The textbook has examples, so it's useful, but not necessary.

I loved professor Gaver and I'm definitely taking her again for 2102! Her grading scale is awesome, where a 90+ is an A, 89 is an A-, etc. She also rounds up grades. There are weekly quizzes but they are fairly easy and she drops the two lowest quiz grades. Would recommend using the textbook; it was definitely a helpful study tool!

TAKE HONORS SECTION OVER REGULAR SECTION. She will work problems in class and knows what she's talking about. If you read the textbook, pay attention in class, you'll do well. HACK: multiple choice quiz at the end of each chapter in textbook is VERY SIMILAR to her weekly quiz. Love her!

Gaver's classes seem to not help very much for the tests and all you do really is practice problems from the book. Every question is written to trick you. There are quizzes and a project that boost your grade but they really don't help that much.

Will say that certain things will not be on a test and then puts all of those on the test. Most questions are trick questions. There is a quiz each week and 3 tests (including final), but quizzes dont count for much so you dont have a chance to pull up a low grade.

TAKE DR. GAVER IF YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO! I took ACCT 2101 with Swati and struggled the whole semester, so I decided to take the Honors section of Accounting 2 and it was the best decision I have made in college. Dr. Gaver teaches concepts clearly, makes tests fair, and there is an easy project that counts for about 10% of your final grade.

I won't lie to you, this class is HARD. I worked harder on this class than any other and still did not receive the grade that I wanted. That being said, Dr. Gaver makes the class bearable and does what she can to help you understand the material. I wish that there had been more assignments to help balance out the test grades. Overall, good.

She explained everything really well. The tests were tricky but they weren't too bad if you study well in advance. Overall great teacher. Take the honors section over the regular section of 2101 if you have the choice!

One of the single best professors I've had at UGA. I was dreading ACCT 2101H, but Dr. Gaver was incredible: very straightforward, clear about what material is covered, easy to understand, to the point, and neither the tests nor projects were too difficult if you kept up. She's worth it!

Don't bother going to class. "Lecture" consists of going over the simplest problems in the back of the book. Tests are intentionally misleading. She is, in every definition of the word, a bad teacher.

SHE'S THE BEST! I seriously love her - best teacher I've had so far. She is so nice and cares about her students a lot. Definitely, definitely take honors. The project isn't bad at all and the class size is what makes the class so great. Study hard for the tests and go to class everyday. If you miss a class though it's fine she doesn't take roll.

Dr. Gaver is a good teacher. She covered the material well. You really have to study for the exams, but numerous people made As and even 100s on them. The project really isn't that difficult and it really helps your grade. I'd definitely recommend taking her Honors 2101 class if you can.

Dr. Gaver was a pretty good teacher. I would definitely recommend her honors course over the regular accounting course. The main difference is you do a massive project that takes up a lot of time but also helps your grade. She is pretty nice and attendance isn't mandatory but she hints at quiz and exam questions so its good to go.
