I took Prof Tighe's online course and it although it wasn't terrible, it was certainly a lot of work. We had assignments due Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday every week. The class wasn't that bad in reality, but you did need to read the textbook each week and stay on top of your assignments or you'd fall behind easily.

Prof. Tighe is perfect if you don't want step-by-step instruction on projects, actual techniques of public speaking, and like to complete busywork for a majority of grades. She does not teach, you teach yourself and deliver a shaky-at-best final product. Dedicate an entire folder for the easily 200 random work/ notesheets she will give you.

Class was pretty interesting most of the time. Prof Tighe is a HARD grader though. You can't really skip class and you need the text for sure. An A is very possible but you have to work for it.

I love her! I always looked forward to her class because we either watched movies or did class activities, which are always fun. It is not a lecture class and there are online quizzes. but nothing to worry about. Occasionally there is homework, but it is not excessive. I love her; she is such a nice lady. ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP STUDENTS!

She uses a lot from the book ,so just make sure you do the readings. Also she is very strict about the guidelines, but they are all spelled out for you in the Syllabus. Really an easy class if you follow her guidelines which she makes very clear!

This class was boring, but kind of easy. The tests don't really reflect on what we learned in class so you really have to study. We watch lots of movie clips though which makes the class a little more interesting.

Exams can be difficult, but read the chapter and you should retain enough information to do well. LOTS of group work during class which I liked because we got to interact and apply the subject to real life. A few speeches. Not the best at transmitting the information, but just ask clarifying questions if you're confused and you'll be fine.

Pretty easy-going, but extremely boring. My class is at 8:30am so it is even more difficult to focus. The tests seem like they would be extremely easy because all that's in the textbook is common sense, but they're not. She is very particular about the way she wants assignments done. If it's not done her way, you won't do well.

She is a very tough grader on speeches and is very picky about how things are supposed to be turned it. She is very "by the rules". I feel like she would be better suited to teaching in a grade school, rather than in a collegiate setting. In a way, she's easy but in other aspects she's tough. The tests are hard.

Tighe is willing to work with you if you are willing to work with her. If you show even a slight interest in the class, you'll be fine. I've taken notes on all the readings to study for tests; the questions come directly from the text. Speeches are easy overall, but she does have a tendency to not explain assignments very well.

I know some people who don't like her and think the class was boring but I think she's pretty nice and cool. It's not a class I've ever dreaded. She's pretty chill and fair. Tests can be tricky though. I had her at 8:30 and it wasn't that bad and helped. Pick her over Haggerty!

She's a really nice lady and this class was quite fun and easy.The main problem is that she doesn't really explain 80% of the course material. Being a comm class, you'd think she'd explain it more. I liked this class a lot though, she was really helpful to me in general and is always there to assist people. She also has some weird stories...

She is tough when it comes to your speeches, but she is not as tough as some of the other 101 professors. Her tests are a little tough because they're specific so make sure you keep up with the readings. Also, don't procrastinate because it'll catch up with you when you have longer speeches.

Not the nicest person. She puts down students when they are not there. Not the greatest at teaching and is a harsh grader. Nothing is ever good enough so never, ever, ever, expect an A no matter how hard you study, practice, or try.
