150 points worth of extra credit. DO IT ALL! I can't stress enough how important it is to put the time into writting those short reflective papers. It gives you a really nice buffer zone if you mess up on the Midterm or Final. Don't mistake this class as easy...reading is mandatory. However, with the E.C and a genuine effort you're bound for an A!

He is an older man. His grading is based on a scale of 1000 points. Sounds like a lot but really not. Only a midterm, final, paper or presentation, and journal check/attendance. it all adds up. It was not a hard class at all. He tried to make us laugh which was good. Lots of notes though off PP, but whatevs. LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT THO, do it all. EAS

easy class, informative with great books! he is very sweet but has some seriously old school ideas. He has machismo issues and believes women need men to run the household. lots of **** comments and goes on and on about christian rhetoric.. just ridiculous. Has no scientific view of the world.completely illogical viewpoints.

Great Professor. I love Mr. Brown he is a good teacher funny and cares for his students. Though he can be hard if you are not about your business. I really enjoyed this class and left with a lot of knew info. Make sure you do the extra credit it will help you later on. That's how I ended up with a "A".

ways to pass this class: Do the extra credits (all of them), Do good on the midterm ( get a B ), Do pass the research paper... ( C or better.) Final ( you can fail it and still pass because of the extra credit ) Over all a fun class. Make sure you have study buddies in class. extremely helpful and fun. Very nice professor.

Take advantage of all Extra Credit. Treat them as actual assignments. Come to class. Takes role daily. Don't walk in late. Take notes. Make friends, they are your best resource besides him. Nice guy with interesting stories. Not an easy A, you will work for it.

DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. I can't stress that enough, his lectures are an overview of the chapter but to do well on the midterm and final you really have to go back and read the stuff that is left out. Midterm and final were hard but the extra credit really helps. He has an awesome personality and is always willing to help.

Very cool professor, has lots of funny (and some very serious) anecdotes to share. Lectures are composed primarily of Power Points. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. For the midterm, memorize all of the terms in the margins of the chapters. There's also a term paper, not too hard. For the final, make sure to have done the reading, don't wait til the last minute

He expected from day one for his students to be scholars and this idea seeped its way into every assignment in the class. The class was moderate to easy depending on who you are. There were few assignments and lots of opportunity for EC. His lectures were engaging and funny. Take really good notes and read and you'll do fine.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class. He does mostly use powerpoint slides which do have a lot of spelling errors, but as long as you do the xtra credit and study for the tests, you will be OK. He is very picky about how he wants his materials turned in, so just take note of that.

Mispronounces everything. Reads nearly everything off of Powerpoint slides full of spelling errors. The auxilary text he supposedly wrote is almost completely lifted directly off the internet, and includes error-filled work from elementary school students. You'll pass if you turn everything in and show up for every class, but your grade may be a C.

I am a strait A student, and I got a B in this class, I never missed a lecture. You WILL NOT PASS WITHOUT ALL the EXTRA CREDIT! The people who are saying hes a great teacher are the "pets" he has in each class. His midterm is on ANYTHING in the first sixth CHAPTERS! His final is 6 essay topics that you dont know prior to the test AVOID THIS TEACHER
