Comment:

Dr. McKean is one of the professors that I still stay in contact with. We became good friends after I graduated. He can be a challenging teacher in a way that his numerous assignments sharpen your mind. He had been so helpful throughout my student life. He patiently answered all my queries, even, sometimes I felt like I took so much of his time.

I loved this class. Attendance was not mandatory but you only got 2 skips. Test were easy if you took the practice quizzes, and the midterm was the same thing. Tends to go off topic but is a really fun guy.

By far the WORST professor I have ever had at Ball State. He is a very harsh grader, doesn't care about his students grades at all, and doesn't teach you a single thing during class. Its pointless to even go to class besides when he has his clicker quizzes because you teach yourself everything anyways. Very rude when it comes to helping students.

I hated his online class. He grades everything so harshly. You have quizzes about each chapter along with 1-4 homework assignment for each chapter. He also makes you write papers for the midterm and final chapter. And the final exam is super hard. Hated this class so much. Professor McKean didnt seem to care how well his student were doing either.

class is very difficult. the readings assigned for each test were unmanageable. his lectures never covered/ explained the readings so its basically a free-for-all. random book is assigned to be read&have to write a paper about it. the class is interesting, teacher is not so great.

His class was difficult but because he covered so much material I was able to learn a lot. The quizzes are relatively hard but the tests consist mostly of quiz questions. Lectures aren't the most exciting thing in the world but he's a pleasure to listen to. Very funny, relaxed guy.

I bought three books for this class, and we used one, barely. His quiz questions are not always clear, so they can have more than one right answer, which is annoying. The study guides are useless. I was bored out of my mind and could barely pay attention in class.

Absolutely hated this class. The study guides he gave out for the tests were huge, thus unhelpful. He covered way too much material per test. Class was boring and unhelpful. I'd never take this class with him again.

he pits out a lot! jokes around and tries to even rap once in a while.. his jokes are pretty terrible, class is boring in itself, doesn't help that he wrote the book so he knows what it's all about.. not exactly a jerk of a professor, i'd take him again, if i HAD to.

Boring class, but McKean gives you a pretty easy chance to get the A that you would want in this class. He gives you 85% of the test questions via the quizzes you have to take. Take him over Morrison anyday....

I absolutely love Dr. McKean. He is a great professor and makes a boring class a little more interesting. The outside assignments actually help in understanding the material and aren't just busy work, and the quizes help prepare for the tests. It is not hard to get an A

he is easier than dr.morrison. he goes at the students' pace. i only missed 6 points. open book and notes tests are the best! he is very corny, but that's to be expected since he has little kids. give him some credit, these are not fun courses to teach.
