Interesting, clear lectures make even hard concepts make perfect sense. Offers lots of extra credit. Detailed tests with some fill-in-the-blank, but fair.

Took several yrs ago. Still talk about the great professor he was. My favorite! Cares about ea. student. Will work with you. When studying something I just didnt understand. He met with me on multiple occasions until I understood. Hes tough, in a good way. What you put in will determine your grade. Work hard, you will learn a lot and will pass.

Overall a very good professor. He makes analogies that we can understand to help us remember, also tells a lot of stories that go with the lectures. Tests are very in depth and you have to study and put work in this class or you won't pass.

Definitely very smart guy, knows the material very well, very passionate about the subject, also entertaining, but when it comes to the test they are very very hard and his PP is not enough to pass this class, so you have devote your all this class to read the book and listen his lecture otherwise it is hard to make a good grad!

Absolutely the best professor I've ever had. Its a shame I only get so many characters to say something. Definitely a class that you have to work for your grade, but that has more to do with the content rather than the professor. Barton makes it so easy to pass and keeps you interested from the first to last day. Absolutely cares about his students

Professor Barton was great! This class is incredibly difficult and I wont say he makes it easy but he makes it bearable. He is a great lecturer and his tests come mainly from his ppts. (pay attention to the small details like charts & illustrations). He does not give study guides but he did cowrite the lab book so use the objectives as a guide.

Mr. Barton is a great professor. This course is a lot to take in but he tries to make it as understanding as possible. Makes you work for it but is always available to answer questions on what you didn't understand. He podcasts his lectures. He will give you all the tools necessary to ensure a passing grade it's up to you to apply it.

Prof. Barton knows his stuff. He is a great Professor. You will need to read and be present for Lecture. He talks super fast so be ready and take lots of notes over the lecture. If you follow the syllabus to a T you will pass his class! Good Luck to you all!

Mr. Barton is easy to follow, available to help, and knows this is an enormous amount of knowledge to learn. Extra help is provided for all and test reviews. Highly recommended and makes some others teaching this course at So campus appear inept. His class fills up first day of registration.

He is honestly the best Professor for A&P, he knows his stuff very well, he is a great help when you need it, and if you ever take him do everything he tells you on how to study because that will help you in his class. Also take time to read/skim the book and take some notes from what you have read that really helps

Honestly one most inspirational, caring people I've ever met. Jerry Barton motivated me to be a better student, and I can't thank him enough for it. The active learning thing he preaches actually works. SI Sessions, Study Groups, Independent Study are necessary to be successful in this course.

Barton is one of the smartest and nice guy, but he wants to learn everything that he learned during his last 30 years of teaching just in one semester. Test are very hard and his power point is useless. If you want to get good grade then you have to devote your entire semester life just to his class!!!!

definitely not the easiest class but Barton sure is one caring professor. he knows his stuff & he really cares about you learning the materials you will need in the future when you enter the medical field. you definitely have to work hard & study hard for your grade. I took him for A&P I and II and I can say that I learned a lot thanks to him.

While professor Barton is a great guy with a good since of humor his class is the hardest thing I have ever taken. He gets distracted in class and ends up taking about the same things over and over. Many of the things on the test are also not at all lectured about in class. To get a decent grade you must dedicate your whole life to HIS CLASS ONLY!

LOVE this guy. He makes A&P fun and gives good red neck ways to memorize things. Not an easy A, you have to work for it, but I wish he teached all the science classes I need to take. I am definitely taking him again next semester. Really cares about your education and just follow along and STUDY STUDY STUDY!! Really enjoyed his class.

Barton is an amazing professor and makes everything a lot more simple. The guy is absolutely hilarious and records his own lectures and downloads them for you. He definitely makes A&P a ton of fun!

Barton is by far the most helpful and caring professor that I have crossed paths with. He explains the material in a way that it sticks to me. Never had I made even a B in any science course until I took his class and ended up with an A! His class is not easy I put a lot of work and time for the A but he was a great Help! He knows his stuff!!!!

Proffesor Barton is amazing person he is very funny and open, but his class is very very hard and he does not provide test review. You have to devote yourself just A&P just pass it. I will not recommend him If you want to have good grad. His power point is useless and you have to rean the book word by word.
