Comment:

Dr. Durm was my absolute favorite professor while attending ASU (2007-2009). I had him for stats, psychology courses, and a mandatory graduation course that required an argumentative speech weekly. He's the most intellectual professor I had during under-grad. His teaching style helped prepare me for graduate school, and I'm beyond thankful for him.

Dr Durm is a nice guy in general, good teacher, but his class is incredibly difficult. If math is difficult for you, you will struggle with this class. He moves very quickly and assigns homework on a chapter before you even go over it and grades for participation. So you have to teach yourself, then he'll teach you the way he wants you to do it.

Comment:

Had for stats. You do the homework before he teaches it to you. A pretty hard class, but stats is not the hardest thing to learn. I missed a week, and it really put me behind. The end of the semester had no lecture, just study and pray you get it basically on final. He is hard, and a different style of teaching. Also a A is a 92 and above....

By far the best professor I've ever had. His classes aren't easy, but that's the best kind. I would take his classes for the rest of my life just to try and absorb some of his wisdom. He has had a phenomenal influence on my life (though he doesn't know) and I do not think I could ever repay him for that. I have so much respect for him.

Dr. Durm is hands down THE best professor I have ever taken. Easy? No!! But if you leave this class with an A you have accomplish something! Be prepared to work, but you will definitely learn.. While at Athens, I took as many courses under him as I could. I majored in biology, but "accidentally" ended up with a psychology degree too!

I ended up with a psychology degree from ASU by accident. I took mandatory psychology classes for my degree under him. Then I kept taking his courses as electives. Was he hard? YES! But that's what you should expect from a college professor. He is by far the best educators I have ever encountered. (1987-90) PS: Got an A in statistics under him!!

I had Dr. Durm for Stats at Athens and yes it was hard but to be completely honest I never studied, really at all, and still made a C. his test are somewhat difficult but just do the homework go to class and you should do fine.

Dr. Durm is an excellent teacher. Yes he is hard but when you leave his class you will have learned something. I took every class he taught because he was such a great instructor and that was back in the late 80's. I highly recommend him if your a Psychology Major.

This was a pretty difficult class, but Dr. Durm helps to make sure every student understands the material. He talks a little fast, but isnt overly "term-specfic" when explaining things. He tends to break them down to make sure you understand the overall concept. His tests are a little confusing but he is pretty specific about what to study.

DR. Durm's classes are hard, but not impossible. You definetly have to show up in order to pass. Even though it is hard, I learn more in his classes than I do any other class. If you are interested in getting an education, then you should take every class taught by Dr. Durm.
