Took calc with business application with jerry and as with any math class you are responsible for working through the problems and homework jerry is a good teacher and brilliant person. Math takes time and effort and Kerry is there to support you 100% of the way

Unless you're willing to spend a lot of time outside of class learning the material yourself, do not take a class with this professor. He does not seem like he thoroughly understands the subject and regularly gets confused during his own lecture. His tests are no longer multiple choice, so if you do not understand the material, you can't pass.

This man doesn't explain anything. He speed write the problems on the board and expects you to follow and understand exactly when he is doing. And he does them wrong plenty of times! I would take my notes, copied exactly like he wrote, to the tutoring center for them to explain to me and they couldn't believe he would be so careless.

I wouldn't recommend taking his classes unless you are good at learning everything on your own. He assigns a bunch of homework but does not reward points for the assignment and gets angry if it is not complete. He is difficult to understand at times and hardly looks up from the board. Nice guy, AWFUL professor.

I would never recommend a class taught by him, because he does not teach. He gives an incredible amount of homework. He literally copies the examples from the textbook onto the board, which shows he is not preparing for the class. When you ask him a question he tells you to figure it out. It's as if he does not know how to answer any questions.

You will bond with other classmates in your misery. We had to do over 1,000 hw problems, literally. Don't bother asking a question, because he will make you feel like an idiot. He assigns really hard hw and teaches hard stuff, then tests you over basic stuff that you didn't realize you needed to study. It's best to just sit in silence. Get a tutor!

Awesome guy! He cares about your success if you do! If you are diligent and work hard, this guy is totally the Prof. to take. Gives a lot of hw but makes up for it with Multiple Choice tests. Overall, very nice and humorous guy. If your a slacker, don't take his class, or honestly expect to do good in any class.

Despite all the negative comments Obiekwa is a sweet professor who cares about his students. I hate Algebra.. with a passion...but through much prayer and a kind Teacher it's starting to grow on me:)

I had him for College Algebra in Fall '09. SUPER EASY. The only thing I hated was that he kept us until the end of the class time even if he had finished teaching. We were supposed to do 'busy work' he posted on the board. I didn't need help, but if I walked out early I would get counted as absent for the day since he takes attendance at the end.

Jerry is hard to understand at times and not very clear when speaking. Tests are multiple choice which removes any chance at partial credit. Homework is overkill! More than 1800 problems of HW! No Extra Credit or curving. I'd recommend him if College Algebra is your last stop in the Math World. Don't take him if you need to go beyond.

College Algebra - Took this class my senior year of high school. He gives all multiple choice tests & homework is graded only for completion which is an easy A. He is always open to questions on material and gives pretty good notes. He's a very nice guy! He can be boring, but its math! Definitely recommend taking his classes!
