This is the type of class where you feel good about your exam but end up with horrible grades. There were three multiple choice exams, and a final. Again his lectures and readings are key to getting good grades. However all his multiple choice questions feels straight forward but are meant to trick you. So it helps to have read the notes & lecture.

Depends on what you want, I would suggest you to take his course, or not. If you really want to learn what market is, stay away from his course. His material is very old, and the textbook, written by him, is nothing more than collections of his papers. If you just want an easy B, or learn "company smart", take his course and you won't disappoint.

At 1st I was worried I was going to fail because he made it seem like it would be ver hard to pass.I actually enjoyed his class I attended every lecture and the book required is written by him easy to understand and is cheap! There are 4 tests worth 25 points each. If you read& listen to the lectures youll do well.Never studied and received a B!

He is Very rude. Aside from his 4 tests he bases your grade on throughout the whole semester (each worth 25 points each) are all based from HIS book HE wrote. He doesn't listen to anyone else besides his book which is dumb. Recommend not taking him. Only bad grade i have ever received in college only have received As and Bs until this class.

This professor's book & are at a Junior High level, so 90% of students never attended class except for the exams. The few of us that actually went, he said he would give us a better grade and he did not follow through.

Wants his students to ask questions in class. He requires the textbook written by himself and assigns a few page reading, approximately 15 pages, after every lecture. Midterm, Quizzes, and Finals are based on lecture and assigned reading. One exam, either midterm or final, would be open book. If you read everyday, you can get a good grade.

I regret taking this class because my grade suffered. The exams were extremely difficult. He wrote his own book and all the exams are based off every little detail in his book and lectures. The class consisted of 3-4 exams and quizzes. Total possible pts were only 100 in the class!Thomas is a good professor&his lecture were engaging and interesting.

This class is super easy, weekly quizzes on simple textbook definitions. 5 questions each quiz. There's no homework, only occasional classwork, but he favors students. When he grades presentations, if he likes you, you'll get higher grades. Totally not a fair grader.

Professor Thomas isn't jaded unlike many other professors I can think of. He's a top quality lecturer, and he always keeps the class entertained. His grading system is very difficult, but as long as you go to class, read the book, take decent notes, and study the questions in the back of the book, this class is a total breeze.

I enjoyed his class. Take careful notes. He doesn't always agree with the textbook. Unique perspective none of the usual regurgitation often seen in other classes. Prepare well for his tests. MCQ but difficult. If only he used the internet more.

I had Dr. Thomas' Mktg Management Class my last semester at SJSU. Best real life prep for the real world there is. Everything he teaches you can be applied to life after college. You want to get a leg up on everyone else after college, take his class. My co-workers were all from Berkeley & Stanford, I was promoted before them. Be on time! :)

Go to every class. 60% of his tests are from lectures. He does't always agree with text book. Don't be late for class. He doesn't like it. His tests are multiple choices. Be in the class coz Quizzes are surprise & combination of short essay & multiple choices. Prepared to have more knowledge in business & marketing. He's a Jerk but approachable.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He is very difficult because his lectures are so vague. You have no idea what he'll put on the exams. You have to come to class everyday to take notes. Even if you come everyday (like myself), you are not guaranteed a passing grade. He makes marketing harder than ever. Pros: No Homework Cons: Everything else!

He lies: He and the syllabus say that quizzes and exams will be M/C, and then he springs essay questions. He fails to tell you he gives negative points for wrong answers (e.g. possible to get below a zero in class) until after the drop deadline. He grotesquely misquotes Adam Smith. Pros: He is engaging, and you will not fall asleep in his class.

Thomas opens the semester by trying to scare off anyone who may not be willing to devote all their time to his class. He really does love to hear himself speak. He uses graduate level vocabulary and will straight up tell you to get a dictionary to figure it out. He thrives on late students and their embarassment. Raise your hand and you'll do fine.

He is one of the best and hardest teacher at SJSU. Class looks extremely hard at beginning, but he curves and gives few extra credits. But you will have to memorize the text and notes.

Difficult class for people who don't understand English. Must comprehend and know material from book. Quizzes are easy, just go to class. Create a study group, and review thoroughly, you will be ok. Seems tough but if you put in the work, you will do fine. There is work to do though, Not leniant on grading.

His exams r difficult. u HAVE to read the book front and back. 80% of test questions r from book, 20% lecture. if u have no choice but to take him, make sure when u purchase the book get the new one that comes with the code to use the online marketing lab as a way to help you study. In there each CH has a sample test, a lot of question came from it
