Jerry is awesome. he doesnt put up with crap from his students, and doesnt cut you any slack when its not deserved. hes one of the only proffs id happily head out into the bush with for wilderness survival. be prepared to put some work into his courses though, theyre not easy.

Jerry is the best prof at the college. I miss him. He knows what he is talking about for sure. I do agree that a prior knowledge of chem, bio is good but not necessary. Ask for clarification if needed. He is more than willing to help.

He's very passionate about the enviroment, and everyone agrees- he's genius, but it's hard to follow his lectures without a previous course in chemistry or biology. If you are in highschool and considering Fish and Wildlife, taking either of those courses now will help. Wish I had.

Jerry is very passionate about everything he teaches. For this reason, you will get a lot out of his classes. Don't be surprised if you leave his classes in tears though. He sees and feels the destruction of the world so clearly. For personal sanity, sometimes it's best to be left in the dark about such things.

He's a great person, but a terrible teacher. He seems to lose interest in his own lectures, and finds his own voice so monotone that he just gives up on some sentences completely and trails off or mumbles.
