So far I have only taken 380. Dr. Godbey is a great teacher and a GREAT safety world reference. He has more conections in the safety world than you can imagine. His classes are lecture heavy, and you need to study for his quizzes. That's what hurts most people. All questions on test are real world situations. In other words, you need to study some

Only taken his AE 380 class so far. Fairly easy subject since its an intro. He gives you all the information you need, but you have to mark or highlight certain notes he reviews over at the next class. They're whats on your quiz. His test are not multiple choice, they use real world situations so you actually have to understand it. Great teacher.

Any of his classes you better be ready to study. Test are hard and long but there's only 2 a semester. Quizzes count for more than you think. Come prepared and focus and you'll pass with easy B's. You will know your stuff when you graduate. He is well respected by major job places. He also stays on top of getting you a job.

Stay away from the tech department, it's a joke. If you want a real degree, go to Bama or Auburn. Minorities get a free ride making a Tech diploma from JSU look like one from Talladega college or Alabama A&M.

For a Doctor, he sure is dumb. He knows his stuff about OSHA, but everyday knowledge does not come natural to him. If he does not know something he will not tell you "I don't know". He will act like he knows and tell you anything. He will ask a political question and when you try to answer he will shout you down. Stay away from his class.

I have had him for several classes. Lot of notes but you learn that way. The best teacher in the department. Really knows his stuff. No trick questions, but you better study. His classes are not easy but he tells you what to study. He's an automan from detroit. Very easy to understand, even for a Yankee. No free rides in his class. Be respectful.

Had Jess for several classes. Probaly the best teacher in the dept. He is the one that helps to strengthen the reputation of this program, and to produce such knowledgeable graduates. Definately offsets the harm that Dr. Bellman causes Jacksonville State University.
