Terrible prof. Online homework problems are in no way the same as the ones she uses in lectureexams. Disabled the answers, so you have no way of knowing what you did wrong or how to properly do the problem.

Dr. Tischler is a really nice lady. She gives a good lecture and she writes down everything that you need to know for the most part. Homework is done on OWL and it is very difficult. Her exams I also found to be very difficult. You take 4 exams and drop your lowest one. The final is the A.C.S. final so study hard.

JT is one of the best chemistry teachers. Her lectures and the way she explains the mechanisms of reactions are very helpful and concise. If you study, do your OWLs and go over your notes there is not reason you shouldn't do well.

JT is the best lecturer that I have ever seen. She rarely makes mistakes in pronunciation and that in and of itself is a bonus for organic chem. Dont be afraid of her unless you come to her unprepared. She will help anyone who has at least TRIED to help themselves.

She is a very intelligent woman. Attendance is important- the notes are crucial when it comes to studying for the exams. She is a good teacher, but in my opinion she speeds through the lectures. I had no time to comprehend the material in class because I was too busy writing like crazy the whole time. My advice for organic 1&2- get a tutor!!

JT is a very helpful prof who teaches a very difficult topic. Her lectures are extremely instructive and the HW is relevant to what she covers in class. Exams are demanding, but it's nothing that can't be done with the effort required to learn a challenging subject. She's tough but fair, and I'd like to see someone teach orgo better than she does.

Fantastic professor. Prof. Tischler has great organizational skills, presents difficult material with clarity, and is extremely helpful in office hours. One of the best organic professors in the country for sure. Also, I had her for lab and thought that while she was challenging, one really came away with having learned the material thoroughly.

Amazing teacher. I actually learned chemistry. Very helpful. If you have questions just go to her office and she will always help. Also, you can get help from a tutor if need be. Overall, great class and lovely instructor.

Never thought I'd miss orgo 1 synthesis problems. I'll second the review that says she knows how to lecture and not teach. Brilliant woman who clearly knows her stuff, but she tends to just turn into a talking head in front of the lecture hall.

The class is hard. She is an excellent instructor and person. She is extremely intelligent, helpful, and one of the best female instructors ever. She looked intimidating and cold when I first saw her. I couldn't have been more wrong. An asset to the planet! Just ask if you need help:)

Excellent teacher, although very challenging. Always willing to help. Friendly easy going, and also a great advisor. Organic chemistry is definitely not an easy subject but it's very easy to follow her lectures. If you come in late she'll watch you walk to your seat... kind of intimidating.

I really like Dr. Tischler, as a person and as a professor. She will always take the time to explain everything to you (even if its more than once!).If you have to take organic, there is no one better to teach you.

She is a pretty good professor. Yes, the class is hard, but it is organic chemistry. It doesn't matter who teaches it, it's gonna be tough and you will have to study a lot. She makes everything as straight forward as possible and gives you a chance to get an A. She is very nice and a good advisor as well.

You couldnt find a better professor for this subject. Tischler is a great teacher, easy to talk to, and always helpful. The class is still hard as hell, but without a good teacher, it wouldve beeen ten times worse.

First of all, let's get real. Tishler does not know how to TEACH, she knows how to LECTURE. There is a difference. If you are a Chemistry major, you will probably love her. If you're not, good luck! You will probably get lost and never recover. Beware!
