Dr Salas is one of the funniest professors Ive had. However, he isn't very clear with things, and can move too quick if you're a beginner at Spanish. He doesn't follow the Syllabus, so things are due when he says they are. Attendance is optional but you might miss assignment/due date announcements. Also lots of long online assignments every 2 weeks

HATED Spanish in hs but did amazing in his class. He is very helpful and lets you know exactly what is on the exam before you take it. If you have to take Spanish I would recommend taking it with him - definitely an easy A

I took him for a 400 level class, so there was a lot of homework in the book that involved reading a story. Most of the homework is not graded unless it's a composition, which he lets you redo after he makes corrections, giving you a 100% on the paper. We did a lot of talking in our groups, but in mine we mostly used English. Fairly easy class.

His classes are probably my favorite language classes I've taken, and he makes Italian fun. If you put in the effort and try, he will certainly meet you half way. Shows culture videos and music in class while putting them into context. If you aren't understanding something, his door is always open and he is more than willing to help. Motto bene!

Can be hard to understand at times and sometimes you may have to repeat your question or ask it in a different way. He is very nice and willing to help if you ask for it. 102 is a lot harder than 101 and moves very fast. Other than that, there is hardly ever any homework and no projects. Easy A

I wasn't too sure how I'd do in this class, since I didn't do well in Spanish in high school.. but he is a great professor! The class is easy as long as you do your work. He's very nice and will help you if you need it. I don't recommend skipping if you want to learn anything. Definitely the easiest Spanish professor.

I was very interested in taking the class so I could study abroad. I don't recommend this class to anyone who plans on actually using the language in life. Its near the end of the semester and I can say 2 words. I do all the work (which is a lot). Classroom activities have nothing to do with homework. I would recommend Rosetta Stone over him.

Dr. Salas Elorza is the best professor! I would highly recommend him! You have a short composition due every Friday but he lets you redo them. Quizzes are easy and he is a very easy grader! He is sweet and is actually very funny. I loved coming to class!

Italian is a great class. Not the hard, and his grading system is so sweet. I have an A going into the final(which he tells you everything thats on it). Do the workbook. He def likes you more if you go to class- because alot of ppl skipped cause it was first thing in the morning. Great Prof- Recommend

This prof was amazing. I thought spanish was going to be really hard but he made it easy. The tests were easy and his grading method made it so pretty much everyone got an A. Very sweet guy like to laugh in class.

Jesus allowed me to take an Advanced Conversation class as private instr after i skipped the first 6 classes of the semester. He was more than fair, and pushed me to do more work than the other students in the regular instruction period. He wouldnt let me fail. If youre looking for an easy class, stay away from JSE; take him only if you're dedicated to doing the best you can

def. an easy class. had the class at 9am MWF, HARDLY ever went to class, still got an A-. do the workbook, including the listening. you can def. teach yourself, without going to class.
