I have had 3 classes of hers (1 online). She takes an extremely long time to grade any paper that has been assigned. She also hardly every responds to e-mails, unless you happen to catch her at some magical time. She is a kind lady, and has a good sense of humor, but the lack of responsiveness really pegs her down.

If you want to study communication, do not take her class. If you want to goof off just for the sake of credits, take her class.

She's one of the worst teachers I ever encountered. I wonder why she is till able to teach. She does not prepare for the class very much, asking students what we did last time. Materials are messy on D2L, and not uploaded on time. Unapproachable. Avoid her class at all costs.

I, along with most of the class, never received feedback on a single speech or assignment, so for all I knew, I could've been failing. She seems like a great person but I personally wouldn't take a class with her again. Don't bother with the book because she never quizzed on material.

There were many times she made the class interesting. During the boring moments I honestly wouldn't pay attention and always scored well on the quizzes (sometimes you have to use your book for them). Very disorganized: wouldn't reply to emails/update grades often/bad communication (ironic). Missed a quiz because of this. A in classno final.

She is very interesting to listen to in class. She is fun and understanding but very unorganized. She doesn't inform us of deadlines until the last minute and has not got back to us on any grades and midterm was last week.

I would agree with the comments that this instructor had the potential to lead an interesting, helpful course but dropped the ball. Apparently the fact that students are paying for the course and deserve to have feedback and a grade for their work is unimportant? Difficult to understand the lack of communication.

Looked like a great course from the course description and syllabus. Seemed like an involved instructor, great until midterms when she suddenly just disappeared. Stopped grading work. Failed to communicate in or out of D2L. No response to emails, posts for instructor, requests for collaborate rooms for group work, etc. Poor communicator online.

Jill was a great lecturer. That's all I have positive to say. D2L wasn't updated until 3 weeks into the class, leaving the class feeling disorganized and behind. Quizzes were never mentioned in class, due dates were unclear, and there was way more work that what should have been for a 100 level class.

She's a great lecturer, but the class overall felt very disorganized. Quizzes were rarely opened on the scheduled date and one assignment in the D2L gradebook she forgot to assign leading me to freak out because I thought I missed it. She never put the powerpoints on D2L for review before quizzes. If you don't show up to class you will lose points.

Jill is my favorite teacher. Theories class consists of three take-home tests and two application papers. Buy the book! They are time consuming but you can easily use references from the textbook. She is laid back and makes theories as interesting as possible. Highly recommend her!
