Professor Prothero is a great professor. I feel that my writing had improve dramatically after taking his class. As long as you follow the guideline and study for the final exam (he gives you a study guide for this..it's like a replicate of the final) then you will for sure get an A.Those that got a D didn't follow the guideline. Can't blame him.

I asked him for help on my essay and he pretended to read my paper, then told me it was "great". Turns out I got a D on a "great" paper, as did half of the class. Makes no attempt to help you improve on your essay writing skills, then gives us essay guidelines halfway through the semester. Syllabus doesn't even outline grade scale. Stay Away!!

Dr. Prothero is absolutely AMAZING. He connects with his students and he is very thoughtful in kind. He is an excellent guitar player and is very understanding. His lectures are also very clear and he explains things in a way that MAKE you understand. Take his class, you'll have fun =]

this teacher is rude, he does not have equal treatment towards his students. he plays favoritism with his students. He's straight up rude, if he wants to be. no justification with this teacher. do not TAKE HIM. he is RUDE.

This prof doesn't like to help student at all. When a student emails him asking question, he replys without answering the question, saying that he said it before in the lecture. He never gives out prompt for essay, and he changes prompt for the same essay every class. For the first essay half of class get D. If you want an A, never take him !!

he's a wonderful teacher! normally British lit isn't too interesting but some how this professor knows how to keep his students awake! I loved him because I seriously thought he's a very helpful teacher, easy, and understanding. by far the best English teacher I've had!

Oh how I love Dr. P. He's not only your professor, but also your friend. His stories are interesting. His educational background is impressive! I took him over the summer. His class was extremely laid back. We sat back, read books, and discussed them. You'll love him!!

Awesome professor! Very easy grader. Put yourself out there, PARTICIPATE, and you'll do fine. We read a lot, and had to decipher everything we came in contact with (after all, it IS a critical thinking class) but he would also give us his input on the matter. Funnest class evAr!

Had him for the once a week night class. He's a really easy grader, but I'm majoring in English, so I wanted more critique on the essays. He's really nice and enthusiastic about Brit Lit anyway. He'll let you take tests and essays late if you ask. Reading isn't THAT required, but the book's interesting. Easiest class ever.
