One of the nicest English professors I have ever met. Had him for English Lit and Mass Media. He is always willing to listen to students' opinions, and he assigns some of the greatest books. He tends to rant during his lectures, and his paper prompts on the syllabus are very wordy. If you can't understand the prompt, email him and he'll clarify.

Take every english class with Bloom! He is a generous grader and if you show up and participate it will be hard to get a grade below B, which for an english class is pretty good. There are no book quizzes and Professor Bloom is also extremly witty and funny. Take Bloom!

A huge disappointment, especially when you consider he's the head of the English department. Boring to the extreme and unable to handle a class discussion, generally lectures to barely awake students. Each day was a countdown of how many minutes to go before the end of the class.

He's not the most riveting professor, but he's an adorable old man. He has a dry sense of humor, but welcomes student comments and if students talk it goes by MUCH faster. Gives a couple assignments before he starts giving grades, soooo that helps the GPA.

Hes to hard to understand. Hes a nice guy but he goes on so many tangents. Hes too confusing. I loved the books we read in his class but the poetry was too hard to analyze. I expected African American lit to be a lot better.

he's hilarious, i love his sense of humor. half the time i really dont know what he's talking about, but that doesnt matter because his awesomeness exceeds his unclarity by leaps and bounds. he's a really great guy... who always has a diet soda, and fun sunglasses.
