The class was slightly test heavy however he gave us multiple opportunities for bonus marks and the group project although frustrating with working with some people was marked promptly and easily. The lectures did usually give you time to take notes so you had to do that from the power points on your own time. #1000B

Great teacher. Very caring and inspirational, who goes above and beyond to make sure everyone understands the material. I am not an IT major so the content was difficult for me but he was able to use humor and real world examples and amazing lectures that the class can understand. Full of energy and enthusiasm.

Jim is a really nice guy. I really appreciate how he tries to memorize all the students names, it's pretty cool that he knows them by the second day of school. He teaches pretty well and the videos are a nice touch. He's a great teacher and highly recommended.

As many have said before, Jim is a solid professor. This class was straightforward. Make sure you do your readings, attend class, and pick a decent group--you'll do well. His classes have a lot of videos, which some make dislike; I enjoyed it. He is highly available to you for help or questions. Nice guy!

Jim bases all his notes off the book and gives access to his powerpoints outside of class which is very helpful. He is clear and made the class entertaining with his dynamic use of video. He gives a good number of classes so your group can work on their project which helped immensely. There is nothing I want changed about his course. #1000B

Management of Information Systems (MGT 3061) is not a very hard or useful class. While the theoretical background and strategic elements are laid the application side is nearly non-existent. Don't expect to be able to walk out of this class and use a database, though you'll definitely know how to recognize one when you see it, then call IT. #3061A
