Dr. D was a great professor overall and I would absolutely take him again! He provides questions to be filled out in class, which I would suggest filling out each day in class because his exams are based on those exact questions! I actually didn't mind going to his lectures because he is so funny and awesome.

I really enjoyed have him as a teacher, he does a lot in lecture to explain the material in depth and makes funny comments and funny stories. I would absolutely recommend taking his classes! Fill out review questions during the class, because you will not be motivated after the period and they are exactly what the test is over.

I took Dr. Demastes for lecture & let me tell you, if you aren't interested in the material you're learning about, it's very hard to grasp the concepts. The lecture's are boring & seem to drag on forever. He's an interesting & nice guy, but the tests were hard & the study guides were not very specific. Okay class overall.

"D" is fantastic. He is laid back & studied in ed so hes not a bad teacher that just quiz random bio info. knows OD is a freshman course and cares about the students full college career not just his class. reminds class of upcoming events even. his lecture exam ?s are pulled directly from his study guide so DO THEM. labs hard LISTEN TO TUTORS!!

Demotes for OD was great! He is funny, he cares about his students, he offers only a couple of extra credit. If you come to class, take notes and study for the tests, you will pass. He is so funny and witty, I love him! Great professor!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. D! He is literally the best teacher I've EVER had; I've learned more from him than anyone else on campus. He truly cares about his students and is willing to help you with anything, whether its something for his classes (even not his own), and just advice about internships and life in general. I LOVE HIM!

Had him for organismal diversity lecture. Very cool teacher. Lecture was overall easy. Lab is horrible nomatter what teacher you get. Have to memorize like 80 genus and species names per lab test. Take a lot of pictures.

The lecture part of class was pretty easy but the lab was a lot of memorization of taxonomy. I didn't use my book at all. He has some nerdy jokes which are refreshing.

Great teacher, connects to students easily. Knows what he is talking about. 4 tests over the whole semester, 50 multiple choice questions each. Grade basically depends on how well you do on tests because there is no assigned homework. Very funny, understanding, and I would recommend him to anyone!

Awesome teacher! Attendance isn't mandatory but I definitely suggest to go because he explains things really well! He's super fun, funny and a great teacher! Hands-down one of the best on campus. Take notes and study your note and you will do great!

Best.class.ever. I'm biased because I loved the material from the get-go, but Dr. D goes above and beyond the essentials and teaches you concepts applicable to not just your bio major but life in general. Case in point: the reminder to be a critical thinker. It's all too easy to get duped by a clever orator, for example, without any skepticism.

Dr. Demastes is a very interesting and entertaining professor. Coming to class isn't mandatory, but occasionally he gives extra credit. He uses power points and most people write down the slides, but, if you use your book, you'll find all the info in there, so you only need to highlight it. Easy-ish,fun, quirky, a great bio teacher.
