Deni is the worst prof. I have ever had! Teaches the same thing repeatedly and then the tests are on stuff you never cover in class. Seriously, if you want to learn anything about psychology and education DO NOT TAKE DENI!

He does not accept responsibility for his subpar teaching. He WILL blame you if you do poorly. He doesn't grade his papers and his GA writes his tests. He doesn't cover 12 the material in class and then expects you to know it for tests. It's an Intervention class that requires a teacher to teach correct Intervention procedure. He does not teach.

Honors Biofeedback: Tests were vague and not well prepared. Final exam was on chapters we hadn't covered in class yet. Practicals were given with little to no preparation & instruction provided. Lectures taken straight from the text. Talked down to the students.

Took him for biofeedback. Even for an honors course, it was ridiculous. Was rude when students asked questions, lectures were ppts that were basically copy&pasted from the book. required lab that had little instruction... practical exams with little guidance. impossible exams. most difficult class I've ever taken.

Horrible!!! Probably one of the worst professors I've ever had!! He doesn't teach the information on the exams, his power points are useless and pretty much copy and pasted from the book itself. WORST professor EVER! DO NOT TAKE his class! He is a straight moron! completely unhelpful to students and has no idea what he talking about! i have not learned a single thing from his class and his tests are impossible and he refuses to help students study for them. He thinks he's a good teacher but the ENTIRE class hates his teaching!

This professor was very confusing. His tests did not come from any material we talked about in class. When he gave examples in class they were always wrong. I actually used notes from other teachers to study most of the time becuase Deni's were so wrong and confusing.

This professor does not take any interest in his students or their learning. The tests are not on the material he teaches which makes it very hard to study. He also teaches things wrong...so it is hard to know if you should put the right answer on the test or the one he talked about in class... very confusing. Do not take this class!

While knowledgeable, he is extremely boring and his no attendance policy makes it all the more difficult to attend this class. He can't teach well at all, ironic because he is teaching pre-service teachers. I bombed most tests mainly because material covered didn't go with lectures. The papers were graded leniently. Find someone better for this one

Great prof. knows what he's talking about and actually cares. Class was pretty easy, just had to write a few easy papers that he outlines for you and do a simple group project. Tests arent that bad either and he doesent have an attendence policy. I'd definately take him again if i could.

Comment:

He is a poor example of what a good teacher should be even though he teaches pre-service teachers. His classes are pointless to go to even though he has an attendence policy because he talks about nothing. You have to read the book in order to do the homework but then in class he just "tries" to go over what you've already read. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!

Although yes this is a 3000 class, he is very unclear on what he wants. His class notes have nothing to do with his test. It's bad when you are teaching students how to be a good teacher and he isn't one. Don't ask him about your grades, he will just tell you to do it yourself. When the class average is 59 there is something wrong.

I took a class from Dr. Deni in grad school. He preached feedback. Unfortunately, Dr. Deni did not practice this when he gave grades. When I questioned him about a grade, he gave me a vague answer. When I asked for clarification, Deni told me that he had had enough of me. The feeling was mutual.
