Very specific on what he needs to you know and he goes over the material in ways to make everyone understand. He does lecture but also has multiple hands-on ways for students to learn. Would take again any time.

he is not a bad person. dont really teach much in the class everything is pretty much figure it out yourself. which in terms means he gets full time pay to only semi grade papers. if you ask him a question he will give you the round around most times. Myselft and many others complained that he talks down to students like if we are stupid vla joke

This was my first all online course and it wasn't very difficult. Yes time consuming, but that's to be expected even if you take this class on campus. If you can read then you can follow the steps in the book and do very well. If you're good at time management it would probably be more efficient for you to take it online vs having to go spend time

I thought I had a good understanding of Microsoft Office until I took this class. The class is a self taught online class. You read from 2 books and take 2 tests a week along with 2 Office Projects a week. The professor will get back to you quickly but rarely will help answer questions. Instead he will lead you to a on campus tutor for issues.

Hotz is a tough teacher who assigns tons of homework. He is very specific about what he wants and is a very picky grader. He will give five assignments in a week and randomly grade only one. So you better make sure all 5 are your best! His lectures are very short (like 10 minutes) but they do a good job of highlighting the most important points.

Lots of assignments for this class. You have to ask him questions, otherwise he will assume you understand everything you've been assigned to read and write. The in-class assignments are really counterproductive as he is lecturing at the same time. He is hesitant to asnswer logic questions in class, so send him emails for complete answers.

There is a lot of assignments to do, but its all in the books which you will need. Mr. Hotz is helpful and returns emails pretty fast. Fair grader if you stay with it and do work.

Be sure to thoroughly read the syllabus. Suggest that you activate the online materials before you start had issues with the software for the whole first two weeks. He worked with me the best he could to remedy any issues I had, and even allowed me to retry a test that had connection issues (even though he stated he wouldn't in the syllabus.

Prof. Hotz is the worst prof. If you take him, you will regret it. I took his class online. If you go over 1 sec. on quizzes, you will get 0. For the homework he uses a grading program. 1 or 2 mistakes and you will get an F. Extra credit is impossible to do since is very hard. Ask for help and he will answer in a sarcastic manner. I barely got a C.

LOADS of homework. Heaping mountains of busy-work avalanching over what social life you had left: Minimum 4 assignments a week (some taking multiple hours). Hotz knows everything about computers...if you ask him. Otherwise, he will teach for 10 minutes and then have you do an in class exercise for 2 hours. You have to teach yourself the material.

Pretty easy class but lots of busy work. Teacher and tutor will answer most questions. Simnet has issues, but once you get it figured out, not that bad. Required course so online is a good way to go.

AVOID until kinks are worked out!SimNet is a nightmare; one lab I got an F on because of 2 typos even tho the formatting was correct. If you challenge anything, Hotz says it's finicky, and does not make any corrections. It froze during quizes and I was not allowed to complete them even though I provided pictures. Some time limits are unreasonable.

Do NOT take this class online. You will recieve zero help, all the labs are graded by a computer program and one tiny mistake will cause you to fail the entire lab which takes FOREVER to complete). I dont see how it is possible to pass this class with an A; I am a 3.5 gpa student and I will be LUCKY to recieve a passing grade.
