Comment:
He is easily the most boring lecturer for this class and that I've ever had. He draws diagrams on the board and briefly explains them, instead of explaining concepts via powerpoints. I'm not a fan of his lecture style. I had no idea what to study for his portion of the exam. The questions he puts on exams are not that difficult.

Dr. Larson is highly regarded in his field. He has published many articles in professional journals. If you think that this class is hard, you should try taking chemistry or calculus. Then let's talk about what's hard. This class is so easy if you do a little studing. If you think this is hard, I'm sorry but you should not be in college.

If you think this class is hard, then college is not for you. Try taking Chemistry or Calculus and then tell me that this class is hard. Dr. Larson is very nice, smart, and approachable.

This class was very easy as long as you put in some effort. If you seriously think that this class is hard, you are not cut out for college, I'm sorry. Try taking calculus or chemistry and then tell me that this class is hard. Dr. Larson is very nice and is very approachable to talk to.

He is a tough teacher! He is theatrical. Very boring. He has a paper that is optional but if you dont do it you get nothing higher than a C, that's if you get c's on your tests. Tests are tough, multiple choice and write-ins. have to pay attention in class. the description about the class was interesting...but its that's not true.

One of the best teachers i had. He knows what he is talking about and tests are easy if you study. Give pop quizzes that are worth extra credit. Take this teacher, most intelligent at UIC.

Dr.Larson is NOT that bad.there is alot of work involved but it's a 300 level class so that is expected. Most people in the class complain nonstop but if you do the homework, attend lectures& discussions getting an A is not hard at all!If you're a slacker& don't like to work hard than you probably shouldnt take his class...or any class in college :)

His lectures were random and vague, and although I got a 79.583 in the course, I received a C. He doesn't care about the students and views teaching as just a job. Don't take him. Plus, the course was dry and not interesting in the slightest.

This class made my brain want to bleed. I couldn't even sit through it. He uses powerpoints that are all diagrams and you have to be in class to even understand them. There is no use even trying not to go to class because you wont know whats going on by just reading. VERY BORING. I would advise picking another psych class.

This class was very boring. His test to me were pretty tricky. I went to class everyday and took note but it seem so pointless when it came to the test. Also, there is no study guide so u have no idea really what to study!!

Great professor! You can tell he is very enthusiastic about his work and loves to teach! The tests are m.c. with 40 questions, and then a short answer that's mainly fill in the blank. Just take good lecture notes and you'll do fine. You should also read too and take notes. There is only one paper - about 8 pages.

He demands a lot of work. He assigns a homework assignment every week that takes 3-6 hours to complete. They're not hard, just tedious. You must do them because they are 40% of your grade. He is a good teacher; VERY clear! I never took statistics and I am having no trouble understanding the class.

Very fast paced teacher, but VERY CLEAR explainations during lectures. The primary use of the textbook is to look at the statistical tables. If you miss lecture one day, try your best to get notes, becuase the homework is pretty much the lecture. The tests were TOTALLY FAIR. You hve to thoroughly do hw, attend class...and you will get an A.

Lectures & powerpoint were well organized. Lecture can be boring. Taking good notes in class is important & the best to study. His tests are usually 40 multiple choice questions & a short answer section. He often tests on certain important models that he presents in lecture. The final is EASY! The questions are taken straight from the 1st 3 exams.

I thought he was very clear, and his TAs are great. I got A's on all the exams HOWEVER - do your homework! It's 40% of the grade. In the end I got an 89.5% because I was lazy in the beginning, and he would NOT round me to an A. Just be careful!!!!! Oh and he can be kinda rude to students - ask the TAs your questions...
