If you like reading 40+ page chapters every week and memorizing them then take him. If not stay away. I have him for Learning. There's a quiz every week, 2 papers, and a behavior project. You split up into groups every class and discuss the chapters. I liked him at first but now i think he is the devil in disguise

This guy is very commited to doing his job, and I learned so much in his class. He is very passionate about the subject, and helps students to develop an appreciation for it as well. Tough teacher, but very rewarding as he makes you work hard, but it is very worthwhile taking his class.

macdonall is a genuine guy. i was having trouble adjusting to psych because i had never taken it before but macdonall helped me out throughout the semester. plus, his jokes are funny as hell. take him and enjoy psych!

I just signed up for my third class with him. He's a bit cooky, but his classes are intellectually stimulating. Sometimes he can be a little harsh, but if you can learn to not take it personally, you'll really learn a lot. Grading is based on point system.

Had him for honors science. Only covers psych, absolutely no bio. There is a lot of work, but do all of it and you will get an A. Which is nice because no other honors professors use this method. Also, he never mentions this but he does not care if assignments are late. Don't overuse this luxury though because you will fall behind very quickly.

i dont understand how people say hes miserable, hes not always terribly outwardly friendly, but if you listen to him you can tell hes very pleasant. The class is very straight forward, anyone who says hes too hard or hates him is probably just not willing to put the work in. If you read and think about the material its an easy A.

"pulling hair out" i think he's one of the worst professors, if u ask me, he is prejudice,,and likes accusing people of things that they were not doin ,and then later acting like he didnt do anything wrong and not admitting what he did,,very unfair and not that great of a professor

Read the syllabus, its all there. this man tells you what you need to do and sticks to it. Stop complaining people, hes a good professor, material is interesing...if you find it boring, why the heck did you take psych when there are other options for science. this class is good, I recommend it.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS CLASS! Seriously, do yourself a favor and get out while you can. The chapters get longer and longer and you must memorize them if you want anything near a B. The papers are easy and so are the labs but the classes are long and boring and condusive to sleep. highly UNRECOMENDED!

He is miserable. He takes pleasure out of struggling students. There are quizzes every week (harder than you expect so read closely and pay really close attention), no midterm, paper, labs (easy), and a final. He is not helpful in office hours. The best part is that he is funny and cannot resist talking about sex every class. not recommended!

This guy is awesome! How can you not like him? He's witty and likes beer. Get him a can of beer, put it on his desk b4 he gets there. Quiz every week--fairly easy if you read the book and stay awake in class. Easy papers. No midterm, one easy final. Very approachable. Reminds me of Dennis the Meanace, with his hair always messy. I heart him!

Class is pretty interesting. Lots of work: weekly homework and quizzes. Usually a nice guy and makes lots of inappropriate jokes. Pretty tough grader, but will do well if work for it. No attendance policy, although missing quizzes will hurt grade.
