Extremely nice guy, class is just one (long) paper at the end, only history majors are in it so it should be nothing new to the students in this class. Don't let the 25 page paper scare you off, hes an easy grader

Comment:
Dr. Valone's course, at least the research seminar, is basically a discussion group of students who are working on individual projects. Everyone is working on a substantial, 25 page paper due at the end of the semester. Do not worry, that is the only task at hand, and class is only an hour a week even though it is a 3 credit course.

Comment:
Dr. Valone is not the most exciting professor there is, but he has his advantages. First of all, class never goes beyond an hour or so. Second, the only grades are the few papers you write. Write your papers and be active in class, and you should be successful.

Really nice guy, loves what he teaches, cuts off seminars over an hour early. Only 'grades' are major papers, but as long as you just do them you're pretty much guaranteed an A.

Papers suck but otherwise it's a fine course, if a bit dull at times.
